My husband and I stayed in the Dr. Magniss room for several nights. We did not spend much time there, since our main purpose was recreation and exploring Kent County, MD. The main house and its furnishings are quite old, but the bed and upholstered chair in our room were very comfortable. The bathroom, towels and sheets were clean. There... More

Depending on what criteria are important to guests, they'll either like this alot or they'll dislike it alot. After reading the TripAdvisor reviews, we sent the owner a note to see if we could avoid some of the pitfalls that others experienced. I think we were partly successful. Here are the pros and cons of the inn, as I see... More

I'm rating this poor/average. Would not revisit. Other reviews are mostly accurate. This could be nice if the owners could find a way to hire a cleaning crew. As it is, I believe they do it themselves, and I they own another B&B in the area -- too much for one couple. We were in the cottage, a two bed,... More

First off, the owner was very nice. But, it ends there. The two story cottage was a disaster when we arrived. My wife was in tears. If there had been cell service or internet, we would have found somewhere else to stay. The smell of mold and my son's allergic reaction to if right away was not inspiring. The dead... More

We traveled from NH to stay overnight in Rock Hall to enjoy the waterfront and see a sailboat. We reserved the last room at the Inn w our credit card. As we drove In the dark in Chestertown , we called to say almost there and we were told YOUR ROOM HAS BEEN GIVEN AWAY . We called many hotels... More

The location is fabulous, right on the water, with a rolling lawn, big trees, 2 docks, squirrels and deer all around plus geese and herons, and wonderful sunsets. Jim and Liese are bright and friendly. BUT.... this place has seen better times. We stayed in the two bedroom cottage. It appears to be a very old building with a second... More

This B&B is very much for those who like an intimate B&B experience where you get to know the owners. The house where the B&B is, although a little hard to find from the road, is well apportioned and within easy walking distance of Rock Hall even though a ways off the main drag. The rooms are comfortable, if not... More

If you want a room with all the amenities where your needs are met by a large, properly deferential staff, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. If, however, you appreciate comfortable accommodations in a lovely setting where you're welcomed as if you were a guest in the home of good friends, then this is your place. Jim and Liese are... If the rating was for niceness of inn keepers, I'd give them a great rating. There are several levels of cleaning, with sticky and dirty the worst. This place was sticky and dirty. On checking out, we found that the chair in our room had mouse droppings all over it. I understand that mice are everywhere, but the room looked... More

Spring Cove Manor: We had a great time as a family staying in one big room! Our room had a private entrance which was perfect for late night arrivals back to the house. The kayaking tour was invigorating, three hours on swan lake with wild birds and beautiful scenery. Our prior experiences at B&B spoiled us with fabulous breakfasts, here... More
