Always enjoy visiting Camp MD, Mike the owner, is a great guy, funny too. He always makes us feel at home. The staff couldn't be friendlier. I've stayed here several times, and plan on many more visits. What a beautiful place!

I spent a weekend here in Sept. 2014 and was impressed with the location and couldn't believe there were campsites right on the beach with a front row view of the Chesapeake Bay. But I was terribly disappointed with the other campers and the noise levels. There were a lot of international attendees who were up all night talking and... More

We stayed in Cottage #1 from Friday to Monday morning and no one wanted to leave. The buildings and furniture are a bit run down (it's hard not to notice), but by the end of the trip these oddities became just another reason for our family to laugh together. The camp was peaceful when we arrived early Friday evening. The... More

We left early from a Labor Day stay with the kids. The location is very nice, right on a small beach but the website is deceptive. We expected a small campsite with only a few spots and found every site packed with far too many tents: I would say over 200, very close together in some cases. Place was overpacked,... More

Let me start off by saying we went during the week not on the weekend so it was very quiet which we were very happy about. We stayed in Cottage #10. The location is awesome!! We were literally the only people on the beach all 3 days that we were there. It was like having our own little private beach.... More

Pros:As Chesapeake Bay beaches go,the water was nice.Fishing pier was relaxing at night.Beach is close to campgrounds.Camp store seemed reasonably priced and had good stuff. Various types of watercraft were available to rent at reasonable prices. An easy two hour drive from Washington, DC. Cons:There are no rules: Mariachi music blaring in the campground at 6 a.m., bachata music going... More

I have no idea why I didn't find this place earlier. We stayed at cabin #9, some church folks gave cabin #9 a bad review saying there were mice and ants but we didn't find any. The view outside the Beach was amazing. I don't know what those other people were talking about because this has to be one of... More

My family visited this place with 3 other families and we took the Captain Quarter Cottage. The view of the beach from the bedroom is beautiful. Do not expect a lot from your stay in the cottage as the furniture is shabby and the cabin is not maintained well. The kitchen is good and has enough utensils for a stay.... More

You can tell this place used to be awesome but it seems recently Mexico has invaded and the place is in disrepair. Cheap rates and the surrounding area is beautiful...but if you dont like swampy grounds, nasty bathrooms and Tijuana trumpets at 3 am steer clear. Good for drinking buddies....not for families.

My church group and I stayed in cottage #9. Although it is a large house, it not as well kept as the pictures show. The house needs repairs and does not have all the ammenities shown. We left after only 1 night because the house is infested with mice and ants, that we were asked to trap and dispose of... More
