Get a room on the back side (facing east), which is closer to the water. All rooms are on the second and third levels, accessible by elevator. The room was clean and had a nice balcony with chairs and table to enjoy the view. Also, kitchenette with cupboards, fridge, microwave, and sink. Low flow shower. We were there August 21st... More

As choice hotels latest promotion wound down, we wanted to spend a few night somewhere affordable and get another point bonus. So we found this hotel, it looked nice, was shockingly affordable ($75!), and was convenient to our destination. So we spent 2 nights here and loved it. The staff is friendly enough, breakfast is not very much, the rooms... More

Way down Southern Maryland in the marsh. Every room seems to have a water view. Nice 2 room unit, Pretty clean except the insects that find their way in. We were there for the Maryland State Swimming Championships at St. Marys collage about 20 mins away. An area of the have and have nots.( Million dollars homes next to shacks.)... More

We were travelling with friends and they booked the Southern Maryland part of our trip. We had never heard of Piney Point and were a little worried about the accommodations. Turns out to be one of the best parts of our trip. This out-of-the-way little retreat is wonderful. Water views wherever you turn and sitting on our balcony overlooking water... More

The customer service here was excellent. We were staying in a room with some very noisy people in the room next door. As I'm a light sleeper, this was a problem. I went down to the desk around 1 a.m. and asked if they could call up. The lady on duty called and also went up to their room and... More

We really like this hotel. Yes, it is out of the way but that's what we like. Every room has a view. We have stayed on both sides of the hotel. We enjoyed the sunrise side this time. The rooms are clean, spacious, and set up really well. Each room has a balcony. We enjoyed our view of the water... More

We had forty family members down on St. George Island for a reunion & were a little wary of the inn. However, it's the only lodging option within twenty miles, so we thought we'd give it a shot. Turns out that the inn is somewhat of a nice choice. The rooms are spacious, clean, & somewhat renovated, with every room... More

Island Inn & Suites is located on a piece of land that just fits on a piece of land between the Potomac and St. George's Creek. They offer your choice of a sunset room (Potomac) or a sunrise (St. George's Creek) room. We opted for the sunset standard room. The room was huge! The ceilings are high, everything was fairly... I have stayed at the Island Inn and Suites many times over the last four years. The location is really unique and nice with waterfront on both sides. It is a real gem. However, the level of customer service is outstanding and other hotesl should take a page out of their playbook. They are cpongenial, accommodating and outgoing to ensure... More
