My wife and I have been a guest at the Robert Morris Inn of Oxford, Maryland each summer since we discovered the Inn in 1990. We have fallen in love with the Inn's old-world charm and we enjoy the villages of Oxford, Easton and St. Michaels all on Maryland's famous Eastern Shore. A visit to the Robert Morris Inn is... more

I was disappointed with this stay. I was looking for a warm romantic place, but this was not it for me. We have stayed in many B&B's in Europe and this one was not nearly as good as the cheapest one we stayed before. The staff was friendly and welcoming. That was probably the only good thing I can remember... more

We loved the view from our porch overlooking the Avon Tred River and the room was comfortable enough, but it is definitely showing its age. The furnishings are tired and there's no internet in the room. The main lobby smells musty, the place is for sale, and the restaurant has been closed except for serving continental breakfast. The location is... more

The Robert Morris Inn proved to be a "gem" of an overnight escape for my wife and me. The little town of Oxford, MD is a very quiet, laid back, slow-paced town. In fact, there's not a stoplight to be found. It is perfect for anyone needing a break from the hectic pace of a big city. Our room was... more

My husband and I stayed at Robert Morris Inn last November the weekend after Thanksgiving. The overall service was very good, our check in was smooth and our room was comfortable. We stayed at the Sandaway Lodge which was directly on the water and we loved sitting in the adirondack chairs that were strategically placed on the grounds overlooking the... more

This our second stay this season at their Sandaway property (also a historic inn, a few minutes walk from the main inn). We're enjoying the wonderful view of the confluence of the Choptank River and the Tred Avon River from the private screened-in porch which adjoins our comfortable room. Just observing the variety of watercraft is entertaining and calming. The... more

I have been on a quest to find the best crab cake on the east coast. I've been to Maine and other New England spots, but I finally found what I was looking for in the lovely, small town of Oxford Maryland. The Robert Morris Inn boasts the Best Crab Cake in Maryland, as recommended by James Michener, the author,... more

The Robert Morris Inn and Oxford, Maryland are a nice quiet oasis in the Tristate area. We stayed at the Sandaway and had a screen porch overlooking the water. We did stay in off-season so the prices were not bad, however, it would be nice if breakfast were included. We did eat our breakfast in the Tavern next to a... more

If it is a serene , tranquil and relaxing location you are longing for then look no further : the Robert Morris Inn, circa 1710 , on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in historic Oxford is the place for you . Located on the edge of the scenic Tred Avon River leading into the beautiful Chesapeake Bay , the Robert... more

If you ever need to go back in time there is a place like no other with service an attention of a bygone era, the Robert Morris Inn. The details by Wendy and Ken Gibson, owners and Jay Gibson inn keeper, are evidence of their deep concern for guests, and this concern extends to their food, which is to die... more
