The Plim Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of the boardwalk, directly on the ocean. All of our rooms come with a refrigerator. During the day, grab a drink at the Caribbean Bar located next to the Olympic sized outdoor pool. At night feel free to relax on the spacious front porch and watch the people go by or head out for a walk and see what you can find on the boardwalk!

For the price, you can’t beat staying here. The location is awesome. The staff is super friendly and everything was clean. The rooms are smaller but we spend such little time in our room on vacation, that’s not our priority. We wanted a hotel on the boardwalk that was reasonably priced and had a pool.

The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there was a band out on the deck every night until 11pm. So going to bed any earlier was almost impossible. For this reason, we probably won’t stay here again. Which is unfortunate.

This hotel has the most disgusting housekeeping services. We checked into a room and the sheets were dirty. The front desk gave us keys to another room where it was blatantly obvious that the bed had been slept in and then remade, plus the AC didn't work. We wound up staying in the first room and requesting clean sheets so that we could remake the beds. The carpet in the rooms and hallways were covered in dirt and crumbs. When I complained to Rich, the GM, he literally yelled at me.

We come here every summer and actually stay in the same connecting room on the 2nd floor. Because we're in the same room, I know for a fact that it hasn't been updated in the 12 years we've stayed here. The carpet was replaced like 8 or 9 years ago, and it's definitely due for another replacement! I'm not sure what has happened from last summer to this summer, but WOW!!! I guess someone trashed the room, and they either didn't want to take the time and/or money to fix it. The room with 2 beds had a huge piece of duct tape over one of the windows that said, do not open. The front face of the a.c was hanging halfway off. Last year the tv in that room was at least a 40'this year it was a tiny 32'. The big dresser/tv stand is gone and replaced with one that's half the size. The other room's chain lock was broken and gone. The bathroom had ripped/peeling wallpaper. The towel racks were barely hanging on. The bathroom door has a HUGE mildew stain in the middle of it. The carpet in both rooms was super filthy and stained to hell and back. To put it simple, the room was nasty!!! Also, almost every year we're here, the fire alarm goes off and the hotel has to be evacuated. At least this year it was during the day, and not at 2am. One of the older ladies at the front desk was a mean, bitter old hag that shouldn't be around customers. Our housekeeper, I wish I knew her name, was amazing! She was so sweet and got us anything we asked for. We've already booked our same rooms (338&340) for next year. We're gonna give it another shot bc we do love the location and the pool and bar. Hopefully they will fix the messed up stuff before then. If not, that'll be the last time we stay here!!!

My dad stayed here 70 years ago, my grandmother took me in the 1970s and 1980s and we just went back July, 2021. It is old, inexpensive, and quirky. I think it is charming, the floors and doors are a little uneven, the rooms are tiny but you can't beat the location and the price. The staff is very friendly. The big draw for us is the porch, the older folks in your party can sit on the porch and people watch. They used to have rocking chairs. It is nice to go to the ocean and have a room you can walk back to. Another plus is that they have a changing room, it you want to go in the ocean on the day you leave and shower before you leave. I would love to come back. They could shampoo or replace the carpeting in the hallway, but they are probably short on staff just like everywhere else this summer.

My husband and I were traveling for a weekend getaway and we decided on this hotel because of location which was perfect being right on the boardwalk. When we checked in our room (3rd floor) it was a non smoking room that smelled like someone was smoking a cigar in the room just before we arrived. The bathroom shower had layers of black mold around the top corners and on the ceiling. Not a little bit a lot. The ceiling paint was peeling off everywhere. The sheets were off white looked like they could not bleach them 1 more time. We asked for another room. The 2nd room was on the 4th floor and did not smell like smoke. There was less mold in the shower area and it smelled like someone had bleached the room just before which was nice so we stayed the 2 nights. The hotel has a pool and bar at night there is a DJ which is nice for those who want to party and not as nice for those that want to sleep at night. The 2nd night it felt like the upstairs neighbors were going to end up in our bedroom with how loud the jumping, screaming and laughing was and it went on most of the night. I was very surprised to see that non of the hotel staff were cleaning common areas now with the pandemic most businesses have employees sanitizing and cleaning high touch areas not here. The hotel common areas were dirty. The place overall is very run down in need of deep cleaning. I would say desperately needs renovation too, but how about we start with cleaning especially with the circumstances surrounding COVID-19.

Would not stay here again. In fact as we were checking in I heard someone complaining about black mold in their room.

Only stayed a few days and wish it had been longer. The updated Ocean Front updated room was perfect. I always stay at this location and love the front porch with rockers, the extra large pool is heaven and even more enjoyable with the personal waiters taking drink/food orders without dragging myself to the bar. Very pleased.

Ok guys. If you pay for a 2 star hotel. You are gonna get 2 star services. This hotel is in a prime location on the boardwalk. The pool and pool bar are awesome. For 2 stars you can expect kids screaming in the hallways all night. Drunk people slamming doors. Occasional weed smell in the hallways. Small rooms. Small showers and staff who do not check IDs and charge your card while checking anyone with the same first name into your room. That was out experience there. But we were not expecting 5 star services either. So cheap room in a prime location. Or an expensive room on a prime location with better service. You can't complain if you pick the cheaper one.

Currently staying here as I type this...in 3 days I have not had a warm shower. I was told by the front desk to ‘jiggle the Shower Knobs for about 20 minutes”. My room, 302, is directly above the live music that plays every day until 11 pm. My bed vibrates it is so loud. I have two 3 year-olds, so everyone is tired to say the least.

We tried lunch at the poor bar yesterday, well before it was busy. Took about 10 minutes after getting id’d for the waitress to greet us. She forgot to place the order for two of the entrees ordered and was just entirely out of it and seemed hungover. Took over an hour for the food to arrive.

I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

We have been traveling to OC for many years and always wanted to stay at one of these Hotels on the boards with rocking chairs out front. It looked nice every time we passed it. Heard nice things & researched a little on trip advisor. We try not to put too much into some of the negative things BUT we should have this time. Internet pictures CAN BE DECEIVING! The room was is the back by the pool-no problem EXCEPT:dead birds outside on the window ledge, bugs in the room, stained carpets, musty smell. Need I say more! No offense but the average age of the guests in this Hotel was over 70 too!! sorry will not stay again.

I have stayed on every floor. They are all fine imo. Lobby rooms tend to be a bit quieter than rooms near the pool because of the bands and music played etc. they are certainly cheaper and it's easiest to get from your room to the lobby/beach/pool.

Yes, parking is very tight at the location and sometimes even in the additional parking but not as bad. The additional lot is 103 Philadelphia Ave, a couple blocks away from the back of the hotel. You'll be able to see it on google map.
