Cons are, no elevators, horrible parking, and it's limited, horrible room service, horrible lobby, have to climb steps to get to lobby, greatly in need of repairs, no water pressure in shower, no place to sit anything in shower, had to ask for supplies, could barely move in the room, no refunds, ants in room. There is a small balcony... More

The absolute worst experience we ever had. The motel itself was extremely old, hasn't been renovated in over 30 +years. No elevators, room was located on the 4th floor, walking up flights of stairs and just gets hotter as you go up. It was basically in an attic, seemed like they just threw a room together. The room door was... More

I can't express enough how gross this place is. Lobby, hallways & room ALL FILTHY! We pulled down the bedspread to check the sheets and they were covered in sand. Floor in bathroom was also sandy. Shower showed signs of mold. Speaking of the shower the water pressure was almost nothing. Everything was outdated, tv, dressers and there was not... More

In general we found Ocean city rather old, smelly & run down. However, the Royalton is taking it to the extreme. 50 years ago it was probably quite nice, unfortunately it doesn't look like it has been updated much in the intervening years. The rooms were reasonably clean but the condition of the rooms, halls, and lobby are more in... More

Stayed over the 4th of July weekend. Checked in with a nice older lady at the front desk. We hurried to dinner after check in, and when we returned we really took a hard look at the room. MOLD all over the bathroom. Only 3 towels, which had long hairs on them. The bed was full of sand and hair,... More

This was my second year in a row staying at the royalton and I will be sure to come back next year. I traveled with family and we booked 3 rooms. All rooms were VERY clean, and smelled very nice. A/C was already going for us so we walked into nice, cool rooms. All rooms had a microwave and mini... More

I would just like to say, that place was the most horrible place ever ! And for what we got, it was over priced...for starters there was limited parking, no handicapped parking, no elevator, we were on the top floor, only one electrical out let, which had an 8 plug in thing to use including the fridge and air conditioner,... Everything you read about this hotel is TRUE. GOOD THINGS WE FOUND: 1) location- right on the boardwalk; 2) small balcony off the room 3) Every hotel employee we encounterd (Desk and Maids) was friendly and helpful. BAD THINGS: IF you are only looking for a place to flop down drunk for a few hours between laying on the beach... More
