After riding 58 miles on the GAP and C&O trails we were so grateful to be treated like royalty by Dave, Donna and Lisa! We got off the trail covered in mud and they made sure that we could get clean and comfortable in short order! The breakfast was possibly the best I've eaten in my 61 years of life!

My wife and I stayed here for one night during a recent bike trip along the C&O canal trail. Really great experience! The owner ( a retired contractor) has lovingly restored a 1920s hotel along the old National Road. What a lovely setting - the Beauty Spot of Maryland (Google it). It is an old hotel - not all rooms... More

This was a great stop after a 40+ bike ride. The shuttle up the hill (1,000' elevation change !) was a convenient service. The owners are personable and helpful. They are very accommodating to cyclists. The breakfast offerings were varied and delicious. If yu are bikig the GAP or C&O, you should definitely make a stop here.

If I could give a 5+ star rating, I would. The owners were friendly and so accommodating in every way. My sister-in-law and I felt very comfortable and secure, which is important to us. The food was fabulous and much more than I expected it to be. They have done such a wonderful job in bringing this "hotel" back to... More

We stayed here during our ride on the C&O Towpath trail. It's located in the hills, about 6 miles off the trail. Dave comes down to shuttle riders (at $6pp, each way) and meets the riders at Bill's Tavern, which is definitely worth a stop. The rooms are small but all freshly redecorated. The house itself is a historical building... More

Donna and Dave have created a paradise in the hills of Maryland. Their facility is clean, comfortable and welcoming. What a treat after riding our bikes 77 miles from Meyersdale, PA. The breakfast was a real treat. We said goodbye with a pledge to come back again.

We picked this hotel as the base for a few days of biking on the C&O Canal. Owners are friendly, and the property has all kinds of great places to sit and chat, have a picnic, or stand around a fire. Breakfast is every bit as good as they claim. They will shuttle you and your bikes the ten minutes... More

My husband and I were one of three, 50 yr old + couples riding the Gap & C&O Canal tow path over nine days and my stay at this wonderful bed and breakfast was by far the best experience I had. We were not sure what to expect when we got to our stopping place for the day. We were... More
