Lodging was terrific, Donna and Dave treated us great, breakfast was terrific. Dave shuttled us to and from trail with little difficulty and provided us guidance where to stop the next day. Lodge is very comfortable with fireplace blaring in family room to relax by.

Wow! We enjoyed room 12 with two queen beds, sofa, and a private bathroom. Beds were comfortable and room was beautifully decorated. The view of the mountains and valleys were spectacular, especially with the fall colors. The host and hostess were genuine, helpful, and prepared an elegant breakfast with lots of varied dishes I'd never tried before, and all delicious!... More

There is no mistaking the charm and uniqueness of this hotel -- the scenery, the rustic feel and lovingly decorated rooms attest to the dedication of the owners (whom we were not able to meet as they were out of town). Our hostess, Missy, was extremely courteous and eager to please, and even drove the shuttle van and trailer to... More

We cycled the GAP and C&O trails and stayed here on a Saturday night. This historic treasure is much like the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Mass.--the high ceilings and the period decor were a nod to days gone by, and Donna and Dave welcomed us like family. The breakfast was the best ever. Don't pass this by.

A wonderful experience awaits those who stay at this great B/B. Excellent hosts with good support for those cycling the C/O Canal. Owner picks up at the trail but charges for the service which is $6 each way per person which is a bit too high. B/B would be better off just covering the costs of the ride on a... More

This is a great place. We were on a bike trip down the C&O Canal. As the B&B is about seven miles off the path, the owner picks up the cyclist at Bill's Place. An interesting tavern along the C&O. The a magnificent old structure. I don't mean old in a bad way, the building is spacious and comfortable. The... More

One could easily be leery of staying at the “only place in town.” However a night or a week at the Town Hill Inn is really something to look forward to. The grounds are beautiful. The views are incredible. The gourmet breakfast may have been the best meal we had on our 7-day bicycle odyssey. Our room was spacious, and... More

We were biking the C&O and this was a planned overnight stay. We had heard many good things along the trail regarding Town Hill and it lived up to everyone of them. Very good service from the shuttle pick up to drop off. Friendly, excellent breakfast, many bedroom options, several inviting locations to relax indoors and out. A very interesting... More

Great B&B. Very interesting history. We were cycling the C&O Canal so Dave came down the mountain and shuttled us to their location. They are very gracious hosts. The rooms were very clean and the food was excellent.
