We stayed here while cycling the C and O towpath. There is really no alternative in Little Orleans for cyclists. Although Town Hill is farther from the C and O than most would want to cycle (and a hilly ride it is), there is a shuttle service for a few dollars per person each way. This isn't just a cozy... During the reservation process all seemed well for both parts of our group. However, on our day of arrival the host called my companion's cell phone to complain about our arrival at the pick up place on the trail for him to shuttle us up to the inn. We told him that we very clearly stated during the phone call... More

Like other reviewers, we were on a cycling trip from Pittsburgh to DC. This was the priciest place we stayed at, but I found it to be a good value.... And we could have chosen a less expensive room. The Inn is absolutely beautifully appointed, with quilts and afghans and antiques. I really enjoyed looking around! There are also many... More

Very friendly hosts who go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. The food is fantastic and breakfast is home cooking at its best. Dave is a funny and kind host and Donna is welcoming and a great cook. The cycle shuttle makes the trip up and down to the trail v easy. If possible we will return.

We were two couples cycling from Pittsburgh to D.C. Donna picked us up w/her trailer after dinner at Bills Place. Very ingenious trailer design that i'm told Dave built. For $6 each/one-way, they will shuttle you the 6+/- miles up to the Inn. Donna was extremely prepared and well-suited for cyclists needs. She provided towels/rags/water for us to clean our... More

I had the pleasure of staying with Dave and Donna at the Town Hill B&B while on a solo cycling tour from Pittsburgh to DC. Although I am not really a B&B kinda guy, this was a wonderful place to stay. Dave picked me up from the trail and shuttled me up to the inn. My room was comfortable and... More

The historic building is beautiful and the owners are nice, but expect lights out early and early to rise as the owner shushes you at night and starts with the stories early in the AM. The walls are thin and voices carry throughout the place easily - with very little privacy, definitely not a destination for a romantic escape. The... More

Most of the other reviewers have lavished the appropriate praises on Donna's breakfast (best in America) and Dave's stories (best/longest in The Continental US) but we have another tale of exemplary service. We left Town Hill last week after a super fun stay and terrific hospitality and were riding on The Chesapeake Canal Tow Path towards Washington DC. We received... More

I spent the weekend at this amazing Bed and Breakfast owned by two of the nicest people I have met in a long time. This very comfortable and cozy inn, with it's delicious breakfast, is a great place to stay. I can't wait to go back.

As I planned my route from DC to Pittsburgh it seemed that Little Orleans was a good stop for that day. The Town Hill Bed and Breakfast is a sure luxury after riding the dirt of the C&O Canal Towpath for a day. The owners are easy going and pleasant people with many stories to tell. The husband is a...
