A good place to stay if you're just looking for comfort, relaxation, and a cooling breeze on the top of the hill. A PERFECT place to stay if you are also a student of Civil War history. During the epic battle, Union signal flaggers used this hill. And you can see why. The view carries all across the battlefield to... More

A pleasant house in a fantastic location, with views to die for. Our room was large, albeit a little dark, and in good condition. However, the basin was cracked and the shower was a plastic built-in unit that was cramped and inconvenient to use. Michelle (Innkeeper) and Tina (Housekeeper) were very helpful and keen to meet our wishes. The breakfasts... More

I don't normally spend this much on lodging but I have no regrets. The drive up is beautiful, it's easy to find and the location is breathtaking. Secluded - tree lined on three sides and the fourth side is Antietam Battlefield. The scene is centered in your window from the Overlook Room. There are outside benches to enjoy the sunset.... More

Stayed in many B&B's and Country Inns for many years and this one ranks as one of the best. Seclusion on the top of a mountain overlooking the battlefield, warm and thoughtful hosts, attention to every detail and an attitude of going the extra mile to accomadate your needs and to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Couldn't have been... More

Although, spending relatively little time socializing and enjoying the facility, host Mark and assistant, Tina, were friendly, cheerful, and responded to our every question and need. The facility is modern, and located on a mountaintop overlooking the Antietam Battlefield National Park and the Potomac River valley around Sharpsburg, MD. The Farm provided a restful and enjoyable experience as we attended... More

After coming to this quaint Bed and Breakfast gem over the past 15 years, we chose it as our base of operations for the Sheperd University Contemporary American Theater Festival. Beautiful rough hewn wooden pillars visible in the great room, as well as hardwood floors and a massive hearth set the relaxed, rural ambiance for enjoyable socializing with not only... More

My wife and I are a young couple in our thirty’s and we have 3 young children. We wanted to get away for some peace and quiet and thought that this place would do the trick again. Boy was I wrong! This was the second time around for my wife and I and I must say it WILL be the... More

Charming inn and location but question the cleanliness. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We, too, stayed in the Americana Suite. Bedroom and bath were OK, but sitting area was unattractive. Old couch had an odor as did bedroom and bedding. Smelled like body odor when beds, bedding, couches, etc are not cleaned. There were two plug-in air fresheners, but it... More

The Inkeepers and owner were very nice and helpful. They made restaurant reservations for us which were excellent. On our last morning they let us eat earlier than the scheduled time so we could leave early onto our next destination. It was so nice of them to do that. The property is peaceful and serene.

My husband and I traveled last minute to the B&B and were placed in the Americana Suite. We were told we would be charged for a regular room price rather than the suite which was very kind. The Suite is not on the website but we took a chance b/c the property got great reviews on trip advisor and the... More
