As every other reviewer stated, location could not be better. Absolutely lovely renovation, very comfortable room and bed. The absolutely nicest common room I've seen at a B &B........ HOWEVER, I was the only guest on this Friday nite, and while Susan was very helpful with directions for dining, she let me know that running a B & B was... More

I'll just echo what all the cyclists reviewing have agreed on.....Riverrun is a great spot if you're cycling the GAP and C&O. Just a couple of things to add---in addition to a locked, outside-entrance basement for bike storage, there are floor pumps with gauges....a nice touch to top-up your ride. Also, the restaurant Buddy-Lou's, up a block or two on... More

Bike friendly. Right across the C&O canal towpath. A few blocks from a bike store. Reservations were made quickly and easily. Check in was great. Kitchen and dining area has big windows overlooking the canal. Also convenient to Western MD rail trail.

This 5 bedroom B&B was a gem along C&O canal trail and Western Maryland Rail trail. We really enjoyed staying in this bright, clean and simple B&B that is conveniently located along the canal. It has a beautiful view of the canal, off of major street thus very quite. The owners, Sinclaire and Susan were very polite and resourceful. They... More

This little B and B is right on the trail. It is cyclist friendly - there is secure bike storage and the owner helped us clean our bikes up before storing for the night. The house is so nice. Everything is clean, clean, clean. No kitsch, just nice decor. The owners are artist and they have really nice taste in... More

We stayed there during a bike trip. Location is right off the trail. Great hose and storage for bikes, terrace facing Canal. It is quiet, train does not bother you, no traffic. We could sleep well with windows open. Nice modern bathrooms and large room (we stayed in room# 1 with fireplace). Linen are a bit plain and could be... More

A group of ladies off the trail for our first night--the Riverrun exceeded our expectations. Clean, well stocked and a very accommodating host made us feel relaxed and at home. The bike cleaning/storage area has set the bar very high for all future trips. ( Two laundry hampers: one filled with "clean" rags and another to toss them in when... More

Seven friends and I had a delightful stay at the Riverrun riding the C&O Canal (en-route to Pittsburgh). Alisatir and Susan know exactly how to cater to the famished, exhausted and muddy cyclists that pass through their door! With laundry facilities, a stocked fridge (with delicious deviled eggs) and phenomenally comfortable beds you cannot go wrong with choosing the Riverrun!

This is a pretty beautiful property that one might take a long bike ride just to reach and then enjoy its well outfitted spaces. Essentially a very well-kept large home, at least when there are few travelers staying the night, it is incredibly peaceful. The location is one of the best in terms of being right off the trail and... More

Thanks for the kind words about our B&B. Just so everyone knows what to expect, our breakfast is what I call an extended continental breakfast. As noted on our website our typical extended continental breakfast includes deviled eggs, cereal, canadian bacon, vegetarian sausage, muffins, toast, fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea. We try to provide as much enriching food... More

A group of six bikers, including myself, come from Pittsburgh on the GAP trail and spent a night at the Riverrun. Excellent place, clean, good showers. Everything was perfect. The house is in town, just few blocks from the supermarket. Unfortunately the main restaurant in town closes at 7pm!
