Me and my girlfriend stayed in The Loft. We loved this place! Beautiful view from our cabin, close to Wisp ski resort where we were headed. Owner was very polite and had our room completely ready for us when we got there.

It was everything we had hoped for. The setting was beautiful and quiet, and the cabin was gorgeous, with enough modern convenience to make us comfortable. The photos will tell the story. We loved every minute, and the host, Rodney, did everything possible to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay.

If it were possible to give less than one star, I would do it. The place that had our original reservation was double booked, so we had to find an alternate. Having driven by these cabins while fishing the Castleman, we were always curious about them, so we called and they had a cabin for 4 available. Perfect, until we... More

Drove down from Michigan for daughters wedding in New Germany State Park. I know this area well, having come here every fall for about 20 years. I also know that the lodging is slim pickings in this area. I thought we were going to get stuck with a series of bad options at rather poorly ranked local hotels ( few... More

Third time back to Cabin's on the River. Stayed in a different cabin each time. They are amazingly clean and the grounds are very well kept. Great place for a long relaxing weekend or a family trip! Great central location for trout fishing as well. All of the cabins we have stayed in have a grill for outdoor cooking as... More

My sister, nephew and I just spent a couple of days at a hidden gem in Grantsville, MD. It was a surprise birthday trip my sister planned for me. We stayed in The Loft. It was a great size for the three of us. The loft bedroom was a neat hideaway. I think we sat outside at the river edge... More

My wife and I met her cousin and wife at Somerset, Pa to share a visit to the Flight 93 Memorial and to spend time together. Afterwards we went to Penn Alps to eat and tour the artisian village. We found this hideaway at the Buck Shack a pleasant retreat from typical motels. It was so relaxing and peaceful to... More

My partner and I stayed in the Wiggly Worm cabin. It is clean with plenty of towels and linens. The view is outstanding, right (and I mean right) next to the river. This cabin does not have a full kitchen but has a hot plate, microwave and good sized refrigerator. It's sweet and restful and simply our favorite place! Enjoy.
