We stayed in the Cypress cabin for a 2-night mini escape with our two dogs... this was our first time staying in a cabin here (before, we utilized the tent camping spaces). Again, we had an excellent time. The cabin was cozy and clean. The staff were nice and accommodating. And the location is great, right there near Harper's Ferry... More

My friends and I had our "girls' weekend" trip at Maple Tree Campground. We stayed in one of the tree cottages (one of the not-so-new/but still really fantastic ones). There were 6 of us plus one special needs dog and we were all able to comfortably coexist/sleep in this cottage. Everything was in great condition and the owners really do... More

I was so looking forward to a peaceful weekend away camping in the woods. Unfortunately I picked the wrong campground! I spent two nights at Maple Tree and it was the most unsettling camping experience I have ever had. The camp hosts large groups of children (Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Youth Camping) in close proximity to regular campgrounds- so, you... More

Hello, I am so sorry you had a bad experience. Last Friday an inexperienced girl scout group arrived very late and were loud. Joeanne escorted them late night and tried to help them get settled, and it took her to mid-night to get them quiet. 99% of the time Scout leadership is very excellent and Scouts are well behaved and... We spent one night in a tree house -- and it was definitely a unique stay. We stayed there with our 2 kids, who also greatly enjoyed their time there. The property is beautiful, but is very hilly -- make sure you have SUV/Truck and preferably 4WD. We stayed in early July, and the cabins can get a little hot... More

Absolutely awful. Looked like a great location to hike to Harper's Ferry and Antietam, but the facilities were haphazardly set up on a knoll in the proprietor's front yard. No flat spots to pitch a tent -- between shrubs & weeds that aggravate allergies and provide a haven for orifice gnats. Surrounded by tweenage girls labor day weekend, quiet hours... More

It is very true our weeds were too high on that week end. Sorry, that was my over-sight due to a family medical emergency. This past week end we had a team of 5 weed whackers and brought it back to normal. So, thank you for your true and honest feed-back regarding that, we are open to that, and encourage... More

My husband and I stayed here on one of the tent sites. When we checked in, we were informed that the campground was nearly full, but we had no issues with noise. The location is great - the dense wooded area gave our site a very private feel while still being close to the office (and the bathrooms!). Driving in... More

Thanks for the feed-back. We have wood delivered once a week from a local saw mill. . It is mostly Oak, and a few pieces of Poplar for starting. Oak is very dense, and not the best starter wood, but burns a long time once you get it going. Poplar is light weight and good for starting. A little dampness... More

12 of us stayed in the Falcon last weekend and had a great experience at the Maple Tree Campground. The cabin was spacious and we probably could have fit a couple of more people inside! The camp site had its own fire pit, grill and picnic table and we felt secluded enough from the other sites. The bathrooms and showers... More

We were looking for a campground for a recent father-son overnight trip in late July. My middle school age son isn't really into the "camping" thing. We have camped out before, usually in Spring or Fall, but always in more rustic camping locations (read very few amenities, no running water, port-a-potties that may have been abandoned in place and you... We rented the Bonsai cottage for three nights. Our cottage was larger than I expected and very clean. mattress were covered with plastic case, you bring your own sheets or sleeping bags. The heat while we stayed was in the upper 90's so we did not use the wood stove. All the windows have screens and the door to the... More

Love this hidden treasure... go back in time to a relaxing memory of summer days and nights that you spent in a tree house that your Dad built in the backyard tree! Mountain top wonder... go and enjoy
