At first glance it appears to have no frills but the rooms are actually quite nice and well appointed. They are spacious with a kitchen area, good desk for working, very good bed and bedding, including pillows that are down versus foam. The only real drawback is that they do not serve any alcohol so if you want an evening... More

I spent two nights at the Residence Inn recently. I had a Queen studio. The room has a small kitchen, pull out couch, TV, queen bed, sink area and a bathroom. The hotel is pet friendly and I encountered a few dogs on my trip. The hotel is within a 10-15 minute walk of the Rio shopping center. The Rio... More

Had the opportunity to stay at this hotel recently for a week. Selected this hotel because of the price and proximity to the Metro to get downtown DC; I was not disappointed. My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom suite for a week and had a great stay. The rooms were recently remodeled, clean, and kept clean during... More

I stayed there for two months after a broken pipe flooded my home. During the same time a large number of other locals also stayed there for similar reasons. The hotel was packed, and the staff made everyone feel so at home! Courteous, welcoming, and responsive. The housekeeping staff is incredible, and it really did feel like home. Great location!... We had to be in DC on Saturday to take care of wedding plans with my daughter so we decided to drive in on Friday night and stay in gaithersburg. We booked our rooms using our marriot points last min for a free night. We checked in around midnight. Checkin was a breeze. The gentleman at the front desk was... More

We stayed overnight for events in the outskirts of DC. I wanted a place where we could have our children be in a separate space without buying an extra room. The king, 1 bedroom suite worked out well. A door to the king and bathroom kept the kitchen and pull-out sofa bed separate for privacy. The king bed was comfortable,... More

While this hotel is great on location, because of the three building layout, don't consider it during winter months. Parking is tight and you might find yourself trekking a long way in foul weather with your bags. Pros: Room is functional, thermostat is temperature true and easy to adjust. Ice maker works, if not turned on when you come in.... More

My wife, dog and cat spent 3 weeks here recently and the facility is typical for a Residence Inn. A two room suite, this close to DC, for about $150 a night is a bargain. This included a nice hot or cold breakfast each day and a simple evening meal (tacos, meatball subs, burgers/dogs, etc) on Mon, Tues and Wed.... More

I'd give this a 3.5 rating if I could. My family and I stayed at this hotel for the first time for 3 nights over Thanksgiving weekend. It is in a good, convenient, safe location. Halls were very quiet. The breakfast offered was ample, and there seemed to be enough room in the sitting area. The noise off the highway... More

Had to stay there for a weekend event. Hotel is in a great location, except if you stay by the highway, traffic is loud all night, but that was a minor inconvenience. Breakfast was sensational, and the staff was first class and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again, as the room was outstanding (1 Bedroom Suite). One minor... More
