This hotel was a nice surprise for a business trip. All staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. We stayed on the 11th floor, and our room had newly been remodeled. I had stayed at the Mariott before, but it's been a while. I don't know what happened. They upgraded the room with new bed linens, but somehow downgraded the bed? I had a meeting at NIST so it was convenient for me to stay there. Rented a car from the airport but unfortunately got caught in the horrendous DC commuter traffic leaving the city! what a nightmare!! I don't recommend the hotel for tourist or a getaway but if you are doing business in Gaithersburg-it certainly is convenient and sufficient.... more

Just back from a two- night stay at the Marriott Washingtonian Center. We found the beds to be uncomfortable, I' m sorry to say, as were the pillows. We've stayed at other Marriotts and have found them to be super comfortable, but not so at this hotel. The bath tub had a scummy ring around it, which made it unappealing... more
