We stayed in early Aug. The hotel was a short drive to Shady Grove Metro. We would drive to the metro and take the train to DC (hotel also offers free shuttle to metro station). I did not choose this hotel, our group planner did. It was still under construction, but we had a great time. We left very early each morning and the hotel had a huge layout of food for us and all the other people going to the Inauguration. One night we had a huge dinner too.
