Spent 4 nights on business trip in June. Not very good. The entire place needs a makeover. What strikes you as one enters is the smell from the kitchen nearby which isn't very good. The elevators, the corridors, carpets, rooms, bathrooms not very clean and need a change over. Breakfast quality has slipped and poor options and food quality.

A group of us stayed here attending a conference nearby. The location is great for us. It's right off 355 and 270, very convenient to get to. The hotel also has a shuttle to anywhere within 4 miles, which includes the Shady Grove Metro station. Unfortunately, the front desk staff doesn't know where the MARC station is (it's about 0.5... We just got home from a 5 day stay at the Wyndham Garden in Gaithersburg, MD. We decided to ignore the negative reviews and stay at this hotel. We came to visit Washington D.C. and in the description of the hotel stated that they have free shuttle service to the Metro. Our room was a king and it was very... More

Our room was clean, spacious and had very comfortable beds. The bartender was very friendly as was the staff. We stayed two nights here with a student travel group. The rooms were quiet and the air conditioning was great. We had a good breakfast too. From what I've read in previous reviews, we must have gotten one of the updated... More

This was the hotel where the groom reserved blocks during a recent family wedding. In the interest of being brief, here's an annotated list of our complaints: 1. Non-handicapped accessible room (for wheelchair guest) given after repeated confirmations. 2. King room with pullout couch given after repeated confirmations of a double queen room. Obviously we didn't complain enough. My cousin,... More

Not only was the hotel old and dirty, but they have an overpriced breakfast that a monkey could make. One morning, there was a big crowd before us and they were out of some of the breakfast items. Since I raised heck, they did not charge us the full amount - but only after I raised cain. Our room and... More

I say unfortunate because this is not the first time I've been here. As stated with other reviewers yes it is an older hotel and yes it does need upgrades but I had been lucky enough to be in newer rooms before, so although the hallways and byways were in need of upkeep, the room was great. Well not this... More

I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel windows need to be clened on the outside. The room I stayed in on the 6th floor the view was nice but had streaks on the outside of the window. The hotel itself is very nice. The women at the front desk was nice and helpful. I didn't use the whirlpool or... More

The hotel is older, and feels like it has just given up. We booked through Hotwire, as a listed 3-star hotel for a weekend away. Advertised pools and fitness centers were old, rusty, and had absolutely no climate control, making working out impossible. Though belied by the website, the pool is outdoor and was not accessible for use. There is... More

I gave this hotel a 5 out of 10 because the staff was excellent. Our room, however, left a great deal to be desired. It was not refurbished and the bathroom was old. As a Wynham Rewrds member, this hotel was disappointing. Suggestion: request a new room.
