My husband and young son and I stopped here to eat during our layover with the train station. The employees were nothing, but rude from the time the first handful of customers started entering. Their short and snippy attitudes did nothing for everyone else's moods. In our order we had a bowl of soup and a side of fries. Our... More

We stayed here on July 2, 2013 and were told breakfast would be at 8:30 AM. We delayed out departure time so we could eat. As of 9:30 the cook had not arrived and we had to leave. The owner said he would reimburse us $10 for our two breakfasts – guess we didn’t miss much!! We have yet to... More

Our group had sandwiches at the cafe during the turn-around time for the train. You order at the counter then the food is delivered to the table. The food was good and service was prompt and courteous. The dining area is plain with some interesting historical pictures on the wall.

This is a nice place to stay. The room was clean. It is not your typical hotel. We stayed 3 nights and they do not have house keeping during the time you are there. However I do think if you request it they will do it. There is no front desk. You have to call a number to get checked... More

Rode the Western Maryland Scenic Train up from Cumberland and ate lunch here. The chicken sandwich was really tasty; all white meat breast. Good food and very friendly people. Great view. The fried chicken looked really good, but I was going on a bike ride and didn’t want to overdo it. Outside is a little shack that also takes orders... More

Kind of a funky place with college kids working but we enjoyed our time here very much. Paid about $75 a night for three nights in September. Smallish rooms, an invigorating walk up the hill to downtown, which was very enjoyable. The trail is excellent both directions. I would stay here again and explore Cumberland and the area a bit... At the lunch break during the turnaround for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad day trip, we were surprised to find that there were five stories of steps between us and the city of Frostburg. (should have read the Trip Advisor reviews!). Luckily, the Trail Inn Cafe right across from the station provided a nice lunch and a perfect view of... More

Four guys stayed here on our way to DC from Boston Pa. We rented the Liberty room a "bunk house" style room with eleven single beds. The showers, toilet rooms and washer and dryer were in the same building and it was very comfortable and convenient. My wife would not have wanted to stay here but she sometimes has things... More

I only camped and ate here. Camping was quiet, although close enough to town. Shower was clean. Soap and towel included which was great and cheaper than a Pennsylvania State Park. Food in restaurant just ok. Seems like only main courses were fried food and my chicken spent much time in the fryer.

Rooms aren't like a chain hotel, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good when the kitchen was stocked. Despite a limited menu, they were out of common items on two of our three day stay.
