My wife and I spent a night here in room 6 and enjoyed it. It's nothing fancy, but it's comfy and clean and historic. In our room there was a decent assortment of paperback books. I'd stay there again, without hesitation.

For our vacation we decided to drive to a wedding in Lexington, KY from Dutchess County, NY; and we always search for a hotel on our drive, just in case we decide not to stop. The evening of 6/4/15 was getting late, the highway was getting foggy and rain was predicted in this region. As I drove, my husband did... More

My wife and I have stayed at this little hotel (only 3 rooms total, in a small old house) twice and really enjoyed it each time. It's not fancy, but is very cozy. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms, but there is wifi. The hotel has a restaurant which sells vegetarian soups, bread, and salad as well... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night before our morning visit to Fallingwater. The hosts, Agnes and Mike were welcoming and friendly. The room was well furnished and comfortable. We stayed for the excellent fresh dinner which was 4-5 different soups (they kept bringing out new ones as they ran out) fresh bread, fantastic garden salad and dessert. Bring your... More

When my girlfriend and I stayed there November 17, 2013, we were thrilled upon seeing the quaint hotel. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful gentleman. He checked us in and gave us an orientation of the hotel. Our room was so romantic and homey. We were blown away by the hotel, the room, the bathtub, and the... More

My boyfriend booked a room here for us as a surprise and it was the perfect place for love. Nature abounds, the people are genuine, the coffee was a dream for the palette. They left nothing out, eco friendly, organic and vegetarian. We were unlucky the organic restaurant was closed, but the grounds keeper treated us kindly and delivered the... More

I have been to Friendsville on several occasions to whitewater raft, but spent an overnight at the Riverside as a getaway for my 15th wedding anniversary with nothing more adventurous planned than spending time with my wife. My wife, who is used to going with me or "bare bones" trips, was delighted with the entire atmosphere of the hotel and... More

On the banks of the Youghiogheny River (yuck it up), this little B&B is a gem. Charming, unpretentious, run by a LOVELY couple. The rooms are comfy, old-time eclectic style, very reasonable rates; no phone, no TV in the rooms. Just relax. WiFi is available. No pets. My favorite part is their restaurant, serving vegetarian dinners from Friday through Monday... More

Really cute B&B, overlooking the river. Has a delightful ambiance, and charming proprietors. The dinners, while simple (soup, salad, and pie), are prepared extremely well. The tomato and basil soup, the homemade bread, and the blueberry pie are all to die for... Can't wait to get back!

We chose the Riverside Hotel after searching for a place to stay for a weekend getaway to see Fallingwater. The hotel was only about 40 minutes from Fallingwater and ended up being more than we imagined it would be. Agnes was very friendly and accommodating, the hotel itself has been beautifully restored, and we felt at home instantly! (The view... More
