Stayed here 5 days during a visit with family in Ellicott City. Every morning David served an excellent breakfast, then it was a short easy drive to the family house in Ellicott. Although the floors creaked like nothing we'd ever encountered before (big surprise in an 1780s house), the room was comfortable and very quiet. We enjoyed a nice soak... More

It was great having you stay with us, Mary! I love knowing you enjoyed the breakfasts every morning and could relax in your room despite the charming creaks of our old house. I do hope you'll be back soon for another stay! All the best, David More

Ten members of our nursing class met here for a reunion. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness. We filled all the rooms for our long weekend which made it especially nice. We didn't have to worry about bothering other guest with our constant laughter. David and Sue were delightful host. They made us feel like family. David had all... More

It's truly wonderful to know you all had as much of good time staying with us as we had having you, Sheila! I'm happy to hear that the rooms, breakfast, and sundeck were enjoyed by all. I want our inn to be a place where everyone feels comfortable and at home, so it's great you all felt that. While we're... More

Me: I'm a lover of B&B's, and always take the opportunity when they present themselves. I tend to be very particular and notice details. For this trip, I needed a quiet room with breakfast and to feel at home; I was traveling for a certificate for my profession and was in a somewhat grueling bootcamp for the week. Service: From... Thanks for staying with us during your training, and thanks for following up with such a humbling recommendation afterward. Other reviewers undoubtedly will appreciate your attention to detail as much as I do! Until... More

As a couple, this was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast and our stay was exquisite! The Inn is on delightful property. The historic building is charming and the rooms were well decorated and absolutely clean. The restoration work is consistent with the era (240 years old), yet wonderfully blended with modern day amenities, such as the rain... More

In planning a Sunday return to Virginia from the Great Northeast after a weekend with the grandchildren, my wife expressed a desire to see the cherry blossoms in DC. We decide the best plan was to stay in the Baltimore area on Sunday night so we could go into DC on a seemingly less crowded Monday morning (which we found... More

My husband booked a night at the Wayside Inn "just because", and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. David and Susan, the innkeepers, did all they could to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The Inn is meticulously maintained and impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were amazing, and the beautifully appointed bathroom had a spacious jacuzzi tub... More

My wife and I got married here last September. I can't recommend it highly enough for an event. At every step of the way, the owners were incredibly helpful, including meeting with our wedding planner, giving us advice on which vendors they had worked with successfully in the past, and helping us with coordinating vendors (tent, equipment) in days leading... I am from Catonsville and didn't know this gem was hiding in plain sight. From the moment our host, David, greeted us at the front door, my husband and I instantly felt at home. My sister and I decided to do a weekend getaway for Mother's Day 2013 and found this enchanting bed and breakfast right in our own backyard.
