My husband and I spent our wedding night at The Wayside Inn. It was perfect - we arrived with dinner reservations at a local restaurant, but we were too exhausted to leave the room. Susan looked at us and helped to arrange for dinner which we ate in bed that evening. We stayed in the Terrace Room which was beyond... more

We were visiting family and did not do any research about accommodations in Ellicott. So we were so pleased when the Wayside Inn turned out to be a real find. From the moment we entered the 1780 charming building, we were taken by the decor, the service & the comfort. My husband, who usually balks at b & b's in... more

My boyfriend took me here after we ended up missing our anniversary plans due to bad weather. He wanted to make it up to me by taking me somewhere different, and he found this place. I live less than 3 miles from the Wayside Inn, but never knew exactly what it was. I had passed it a million times. When... more

I had a gift certificate to stay at the Wayside Inn, so one night my daughter and I decided it would be fun to stay there and relax for fun. I had never stayed at a B&B so I didn't know exactly what to expect. It was beautiful though and the Inn keeper was so nice and made us feel... more

My husband and I recently treated ourselves to a relaxing night in this historic, luxurious 18th Century stone home. We stayed in Betty's Suite, an attractive two-room suite filled with Federal Period antiques and reproductions...and accented prettily with bittersweet. Adjacent to but not in the suite is a private bath with tub and shower...and terry robes provided for modesty's sake.... more

We found this place randomly after having car trouble nearby that forced us to spend the night in the area. First impressions were good. When my sister and I arrived at the Wayside in the evening, the proprietor met us outside and helped us in with our bags. He was very friendly and smiley and gave us a semi-tour of... more

I grew up in this neighborhood and I've always loved this beautiful stone building and grounds. I never knew it was a B&B until looking for one in the area. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. The hosts are wonderful (though we only saw the husband) and very welcoming. The house is historic with traditional furnishings but also... more

My husband and I live nearby, and we still stay at the Wayside Inn once or twice a year. This Inn is amazing - a perfect way to get away from it all. Our favorite room is the Ellicott Room; which was wonderful even back when it didn't have a private bathroom. But we were treated to a huge surprise... more

We wish we would have had more time, like a month! From the moment we parked the car to the second we left we were pampered. Our hosts and their home emits a warmth as you cross their threshold. Our room was wonderful, everything we expected and more. The breakfast was as fine as any gourmet cafe. This was an... more

I decided to stay at this B&B rather than a characterless chain hotel, and I'm so thankful I did. This inn oozes charm while providing modern comforts. My room (the Ellicott) had a large bathroom with a whirlpool tub and walk-in shower. I had a look at all the rooms, and they're all beautifully decorated -- tasteful and very appropriate... more
