I do a lot of traveling as an IT consultant for a rather large firm. Normally, I stay at Hampton Inns when I travel because of their frequent guest program and free breakfast. I was forced to travel to Columbia Maryland at the last moment this past month and planned to stay at the Hampton Inn. I was very disappointed when arriving to find out that it was sold out. I decided to give the Extended Stay Hotel, situated behind the Hampton a try as I was very tired and did not want to go hotel searching. The woman who attended the front counter when I checked in was very friendly and extremely accommodating (I will expand on this in a bit). Check-in went smoothly and quickly as there was no line. I was told my room was newly renovated however did not expect much due to the price of the room; I don’t expect much for 100.00 a night.
