The hotel is a typical Holiday Inn and is located in the downtown area. We stayed here as part of a large group. The reception staff were very friendly and nice and the overall amenities - lobby area, restaurant, etc., are good. The room was standard, as was the bathroom. The hotel is close to the mall area, the train... more

Great location if you want a downtown hotel in Cumberland. The railroad outside the window did disturb my sleep somewhat though. Being a Holiday Inn it's a safe bet. more

The Holiday Inn is a safe bet if you want something predictable. Nothing great but nothing bad either. I did find the wait staff at breakfast extremely attentive. more

I really liked this Holiday Inn. It was a great location for seeing the sites in Cumberland, including the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Terminus and Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. The room were nicely furnished with really superior beds. I'm glad we stayed there. more

I stopped at this hotel on my way from Connecticut to Morgantown and was not thrilled. We stayed the night after Christmas so the hotel was not busy and we found close parking but there is a MAJOR lack of parking spaces. We checked in with no problems and were starving from traveling and decided to eat at the hotel... more

You can’t expect much … Though I didn’t have a problem with bed bugs or trains running in the middle of the night, I would have expected a very clean bathroom. I did find a few hairs in the tub, but this didn’t really bother me as I have been in much worst situations. Besides, this is a Holiday Inn... more

We just spent a week in NY, MD and PA. This was my least favourite hotel and the one we paid the most for it. Parking is a long way from the front door of the hotel. Check in was fine. We were 3 couples travelling together and they did put all the rooms together which was very good. However,... more

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, all the staff from the receptionist to the bar tender, restaurant and housekeeping were really nice. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed and we had a nice meal in the restaurant. Cumberland is an interesting place to explore with rail and canal historic sights and museums. more

The Holiday Inn is in a great location. By car there is easy access from I-68, and the major attractions in the Historic and Canal district are all within a walking distance of 2-4 blocks. There is no need to use city parking because there is ample free parking at the hotel. My husband, with mobility issues, had no difficulty... more
