We had lunch reservations for after my niece's Graduation, their was 9 of us in our party, the menu was very limited, so 3 of us got the "Cheeseburger" that was on the menu, we had our chose of what kind of cheese we wanted. When the two burgers arrived they had no cheese even though we specified the cheese... more

My wife and I visited Chestertown, MD as a twenty-first anniversary trip. We had dinner and listened to live music up the street at a restaurant called "Andy's", and we spent the night at the Imperial Hotel. It was off season and bitterly cold, so there was not much activity in town. We were delighted with the accommodations, and very... more

We stayed at the Imperial for one night in late August. The location is great......right in the middle of town and within walking distance to the river, shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is old, but has a very charming quality about it, just as the town does. The front desk clerk was very friendly. I'm pretty sure we were... more

We like to go antiquing at the Crumpton Auction held every Wednesday in the nearby town of Crumpton. We usually stay Tuesday nights at the Imperial. Recently they've started holding wine tastings for $12 at the restaurant and if you stay for dinner they credit that to your meal. Basically you can get a free wine tasting if you have... more

The Imperial was okay. We booked a room and arrived to find that the heating unit blew directly onto the pillow where you'd lay your head. We asked for a different room and they accommodated. It was clean and spacious. Beyond this however, the hotel's services were limited. The continental breakfast which was included consisted of muesli, a few tiny... more

The hotel staff couldn't have been more accomodating. We even left clothing in our room and they called us immediately to get it mailed to us. The rooms were very well kept and cozy. Now the food had a lot to be desired. We had dinner in the "front room" on Saturday evening. We ordered apps, entres, dessert and a... more

First of all, everyone at the hotel was so friendly and accomodating that we couldn't have asked for a nicer staff. However, while keeping in mind that the hotel is a historic hotel, it could use some updating. You can see the potential of the hotel because it is a beautiful building with so many nice architectural details. But it's... more

This is our third time staying at the Hotel Imperial in Chestertown. The rooms are charming Victorian and have been recently refurbished. The staff is wonderfully friendly. My favorite activity is getting an early cup of coffee at the complimentary breakfast station and sitting on the second floor porch. As wonderful as the rooms are, the food at the restaurant... more

Christmas '06 in Chestertown was only enhanced by our wonderful lunch at the Imperial Hotel. Visiting from Chicago we are always on the look out for good Crab Cakes. Looking around and seeing most tables filled we knew we may have hit upon a great spot tucked away within the Imperial Hotel. Everyone in our party had the Crab Cake... more

We didn't stay at the hotel this time but we can't wait to go back! The dinner we had at the Imperial was a great way to end a beautiful day in this charming little town. I first noticed the choice of linens for the tables and the beautiful decor of one of the small dining rooms that we relaxed... more
