I wanted to stay right on the river (And I probably will next time but plan better), but nothing was open, but the Blue Max. They had 1 room left & I took it & as my heading says, it was well worth it! What a nice place. Well, you can see from the reviews. I couldn't find anything bad... More

Our suite was beautiful, very comfy and had everything we needed. A balcony, TV, AC, mini-fridge, etc.. We walked to restaurants and shopping. The owners really make you feel welcome. They also do a terrific job at breakfast!

We have been going to Chesapeake City by boat for years. With the harsh winter in the east we decided to take a break when the weather gave us two spring like weekend days. We have driven past the immaculate looking Blue Max almost weekly and based on rave reviews by friends called and was able to get a room..... More

We have stayed at the Blue Max several times a year for the past 7-8 years. It feels much like home. Chesapeake City is close to many urban areas on the east coast, so therefore, is a great place to just get away for a few days. There are many places to visit in the area, most connected in some... We've stayed at many B&B's over the years and on this particular trip we stayed at 3 different locations along the Eastern Shore. The Blue Max Inn was our first stop on our trip and we stayed one night. The Inn was pretty empty with only 1 other guest besides us - I think. Bed was comfortable. Tea in the... More

First time we ever stayed at a bed and breakfast and this place is better then any hotel we stayed. We are definitely going back. The service was wonderful and breakfast was excellent. It was very quaint and conveniently located by the Chesapeake Inn where we were attending a wedding.

The Blue Max is one of two B&Bs in Chesapeake City. The Inn is nicely decorated in a sort of Victorian style. Many such establishments also have limited facilities, but the bathrooms were up to date and there are modern TVs in the rooms. Breakfast is served (OK filling) and there is tea in the afternoon with some sort of... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B. The room (Conrey) had a very charming Victorian decor. The bed was quite comfortable. Wireless worked well. The TV was small and only showed a few stations. Breakfast was fruit, a toasted muffin, and an entree which changed each day. The inn is located in the middle of the historic section.... More

We just spent Presidents Day weekend at The Blue Max. Every room is beautifully decorated by Christine, the gracious inkeeper. Our bed was very comfortable with soft sheets and there was plenty of hot water. We found several chocolate treats in our room and the afternoon tea and bakery items were a nice touch. Breakfast in the sun room overlooking... More
