This is a great bed and breakfast. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. The accommodations were exactly as described. The canal and bridge views were impressive. We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect place to stay.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Shipwatch Inn, again. After an intense Holiday season, it's the perfect place to kick back and recharge. The service is always first-rate, the breakfasts are excellent and the views unsurpassed. Highly recommend.

What connects The Chesapeake Bay with The Delaware Bay.......Or what body of water connects Baltimore with Philadelphia/Wilmington? The answer is a thirty mile long canal (third busiest in the World!) appropriately named the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal: Panama, Suez, and The C & D Canal. Along this canal and very close to the Delaware state line lies the beautiful, little,... More

After my first stay, I knew that I would return every time I was in the area because it does feel like home. The rooms are stunning, so well decorated, classy actually!! Staff is friendly and so accommodating. The little extras are appreciated: good internet service, delicious baked goods, access to the dining room 24/7, and on and on!! Love... More

Stayed at this inn to attend a wedding in town. Great location to walk anywhere. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The only disappointment would be the breakfast. Although served quickly, it was cold and not much flavor. It would not prevent me from staying there again though.

This was our 4th visit to Ship Watch Inn and again we were not disappointed. When I need a place to get away and relax, this is where we go. Renee provided delightful breakfasts and clean, well decorated rooms. We always stay on the 2nd floor because there is a roof over the veranda. The weather was warm, so we... More

This was a very nice B&B w/cozy rooms and antiques. Our hostess and her helper were very pleasant. The breakfast was just right-eggs benedict w crab or without! The waterfrontview of the canal refreshing. The only down-side was the break of peace and quiet by the clap clap clap of the cars crossing the bridgeoverhead and the 4:30 a.m. noise... More

It is quaint, homey, and comfortable. third floor was a challenge with heavy luggage, since no elevator, but the view is gorgeous on the third floor deck! Room is comfortable, and the neighborhood, as well as the Inn are quiet - if the other guests are quiet. (It was really BAD one night!) But I'm sure that was a rare... More

We always choose the Ship Watch when going to Chesapeake City. Rooms are clean and cozy, staff very friendly and breakfast always delicous, they are receptive to our dietary issues and of course the deck to watch everything happening on the canal.

Although we live in Los Angeles, my wife and I both love to return to Delaware and Maryland to visit my relatives, and to soak up the Chesapeake Bay life for a few days. I can't get enough of watching boats and especially enjoy the wide variety of working and pleasure boats that you see on the Chesapeake and Delaware... More
