We stayed at the resort over the July 4th weekend. It was just awesome. The food was great, the activities the resort put together (including a spectacular fireworks display) and the slot machines made this the perfect weekend get away and only a days drive away from us. more

I had a great stay here over the 4th of July weekend. The room was clean and had stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay. The continental breakfast was nice for grabbing a quick bite, but Sunday I enjoyed the buffet at the Rod N Reel next door. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa. No complaints here! I guess... more

The hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. They only had a continental breakfast, however they offer a discount for the restaurant next door. There is lots to do right in that area the Rod n Reel restaurant had great food and service. We sat outside at the cafe on the water... more

I was surprised to read so many bad reviews of the Chesapeake Beach Hotel & Spa. We only stayed one night, but had a lovely room with an awesome view at a good rate. We were very happy. The bed was VERY comfortable. We had a lovely dinner at the outdoor cafe/bar. Our only complaint was that the people above... more

I thought I would suprise my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary so I booked A suite at the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa . We are bussiness owners and get very little time to travel. I remember my grandmother taking the family to the rod & reel restaurant as A kid and I thought this might be A nice... more

This place is a nightmare. Don't stay there! We tried to check-in and had a disasterous experience. I wrote a letter of complaint, and received back a basic form letter insincere apology. Here is the complaint letter, which captures the experiennce succinctly: Last week, we were traveling down south to enroll my son in college. We live in Western Massachusetts,... more

OK - so long as you're not expecting a "resort &spa" style facility, this place is nice. It reminds me of an upscale Holiday Inn Express. The lobby is cramped and doubles as the breakfast area. The check-in desk is relatively small. Rooms are fine - but nothing stands out as especially noteworthy --- size of room and bathroom layout... more

My husband and I got married at this resort and had problems with the reception. But besides that, the rooms were sub-par for the amount of money they charge. First of all they placed us in the one room that was directly next to the HVAC system so all we got to see/hear all night and the following morning was... more

We stayed one night in a King waterfront room. The hotel is newer and nice and the room was clean. We read some reviews about noise from the weekend weddings in the summer. We took our chances and wouldn't you know it, the screaming in the hall started at 2am Saturday night. I'm not sure how long it went on... more

This is one of the only hotels in Chesapeake Beach, but it is very nice. The staff is very friendly and everything is very clean. I stayed here on a little trip away from Washington, DC and I'm glad I did. It seemed like a world away. There is a nice little boardwalk and lots of little restaurants in town.... more
