We really couldn't have been happier with our stay at Lodgecliffe. Carl and Jennifer (our hosts) are some of the warmest and friendliest people we have ever met. They are the type of people that almost instantly seem like old friends. There was a vacancy the night before we arrived in Sarah's Loft (the second floor double queen bed room).... more

Lodgecliffe on the Choptank is a great B&B for relaxing and leaving all the world's problems behind. Recently, after spending some time in Annapolis and DC, we decided to extend our trip for a few more days at Logdgecliff. Are we glad we did! The hosts, Jennifer and Carl, are welcoming and relaxed. They do their very best to ensure... more

The Inn is comfortable & clean with a peaceful view of the river that is just outside. A wonderful back porch (on this less than warms weekend) on which to sit, read, and relax. Breakfasts were out of this world! A side trip to the Blackwater Nature Preserve added to the overall experience. And great dining (especially at the Canvasback... more

Excellent breakfast, probably the best of all the B & B's at which we've stayed. Eating breakfast on the sun porch made it that much better. Bed was very comfortable, but needed reading lights on both sides of bed. Jenny gave great recommendations for dining (Bistro Poplar and Bobby's at the country club). And the VIEW! It was so relaxing... more

We were looking for a Saturday-only getaway and after exhausting all the B&Bs around St. Michaels, Oxford and Easton (all two-night minimums on weekends), we found Lodgecliffe online. I'm very glad we did. You have to wind around a bit through residential Cambridge before you get to Lodgecliffe, a large house with a wonderful view of the Choptank bay. Three... more

Agree completely with the other two reviewers. Excellent B&B. We stayed in the Zen room and enjoyed the same amazing views. Great hosts, great cooking, the whole establishment was very clean and nicely decorated. We could have sat on the two chairs under the big tree out back all day (why didn't we, come to think of it?) About dining... more

We stayed for three nights in September in the Chesapeake Zen room which opens directly onto the deck at the back of the house. We arrived at around 5pm and sat on the deck overlooking the bay, enjoying a glorious sunset and a glass of wine. The picture on their website does not do it justice! It was so good... more

Scott & Jennifer (children, too) were wonderful What a truly remarkable family. All were gracious, warm, welcoming people and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and Jennifer cooked plenty, the room was decorated nicely and very clean, but the view was spectacular and we saw a couple of absolutely amazing sunsets. I can't say... more
