I stayed at the Residence Inn Bethesda for 11 days during a recent conference nearby and I was very satisfied with the accomodations and the level of service. Residence Inn is neither slick nor trendy. However, it is very comfortable in an understated way. The chain's name really fits this establishment since the best description would, in fact, be "residential."... More

My elderly parents stayed at the Marriott Residence in Bethesda during Christmas 2010 and, more recently, for our daughter's high school graduation. This is not a luxury hotel: it is a classic Residence set-up -- two rooms, kitchen, ample bathroom, free C+ breakfast on the second floor. In that context it is excellent. Everything is clean; hallways and public spaces... More

Very spacious with separate bedroom and living area plus a full sized kitchen with stove, fridge, and dining area. Great for the family stay while seeing the sites in D.C. A bit disappointed they would not work with us on the rate after the weekend, so we had to move mid-week across the street to the Hilton Garden Inn which... More

I traveled to Bethesda with my husband as he was attending a seminar and I went along for the ride. Even though the seminar was at the Hyatt across the street, we chose the Residence Inn because it had suites and I would be up later than my husband. The room itself was very clean and the bed was extremely... More

The failure of pepco to return electricity to md residents caused my stay here. I am more than sensitive to smoke and on booking asked for and received assurance this was a no smoking hotel as required by law. What a lie. I visited three different room that all smelled of smoke and were generally smelly and not very clean.... More

I am so sorry that you had experienced a room at my hotel that had been smoked in. We are indeed a non-smoking hotel and do inform guests of that. Unfortunately there are some guests that disregard our policy and smoke in the rooms. When we discover that this has happened we immediately contact the guest to stop smoking immediately... More

We have stayed here religiously for the past five years when we visit my son in Bethesda. We actually had our guests stay here when my son got married two years ago. Sadly, the rooms and the lobby are in need of renovation. The furnishings are quite worn and threadbare in places. Our room was okay but the kitchen was... More

Your experience at my hotel is not a standard, I assure you. When reviewing your comments with the restaurant staff, I found out that the person scheduled to be working was out sick and they called in help from an outside service. I can assure you we won't be using that service again as I agree with you that what... More

The Resident Inn is a great place to stay. I stayed here with my family 3.5 years ago for 4 weeks and have just finished a 1 week stay here. Its family friendly, clean, comfortable, convenient and has great staff. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which is roomy with a practical kitchen (bigger than a kitchenette), dining table,... More

Thank you for the great comments about the hotel staff. I did want to mention that I would love to offer self parking but do to our location it makes it difficult. As you had stated public free parking on the weekends is right around the corner, but I can see how in the winter that would be hard, especially... More

As our son has gotten older, we've found that having a suite instead of a typical hotel room is the best way to make everyone happy! The location of this hotel is hard to beat - a less than two minute walk to the Metro elevator entrance. My family had a king one bedroom on the sixth floor and we... More

Our family visited Washington DC in Spring break 2010 and through an online search I found a good price and location for a suite at Residence Inn Bethesda MD. After a 14 hour drive it was a relief to be welcomed by helpful valets and efficient staff. Our relief increased when we entered our suite and found it spacious and... More

Parking in front of the hotel is very limited, so the first thing you'll be happy about is the attentive outside staff. Downtown Bethesda is a warren of one-way streets with plenty of traffic, but once you figure it out you'll be able to find lots of near-by public parking (free on the weekends, requiring lots of quarters the rest...
