This was a very nice hotel - the staff was really friendly and accommodating. The rooms have been updated and look beautiful, they did a great job. Our only complaint was that the indoor pool was pretty chilly and not very relaxing to swim in because of that : ) My husband always complains when hotels charge us for parking... More

This was a very nice Marriot hotel. One thing I notice is odors - and it smelled perfectly clean and fresh. Nice cozy beds and nice indoor outdoor pool. Overall a nice stay and great price for a Marriot.

Hotel met all expectations for my two night stay; did not have a chance to eat in the restaurant. Room was nice and clean, booked with AAA rate, pool was just right for July; staff was friendly; shuttle service was great.

We (2 adulds, 2 children) stayed at the Bethesda Marriott for 2 nights in late June. We were on the 2nd floor, I believe above the pool. There was a strange high pitched noise coming from out a/c vent whenever the a/c was not "running." I thought this had to do with the a/c, but my husband thought it may... More

I spent three nights at this hotel for a conference. I'm still trying to figure out why they selected this property. If you don't have a car, this hotel is not within convenient walking distance to the metro or to downtown Bethesda. They provide a shuttle, but it is extremely unreliable. One evening, we waited two hours for the shuttle... More

We spent last week (October 24-28, 2006) at the Bethesda Marriott for a federal conference and have to rave about the facility, the staff and the rooms. We arrived at 2AM and expected, due to that late hour, that we would be given, perhaps, a lesser room. Not a chance. Upon entering our room on the 14th floor, we were... More

In September, my 13-year-old daughter traveled with an educational group on a visit to Washington DC. They stayed at the Bethesda Hotel in Maryland for a week. While there, my daughter lost her most important possession in the world: a stuffed white cat that has traveled the globe with her from the day she was born. She left the toy... More

We stayed one weekend night at this hotel while visiting friends nearby. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. $8/night parking charge I would guess that most of their guests are traveling on business. This hotel is near NIH and other business areas of Bethesda. There is not much within walking distance,... More

I don't know why I expected the worst at every turn. Perhaps it was other reviews, maybe it was because it's right on the highway and an older building. I kept thinking that it was run down but it wasn't...it was pretty pleasant. First the good: 1. We got to the hotel really early and the rooms we were originally... More
