This business hotel is in the heart of Bethesda and on the metro line. There are great restaurants and shops just walking distance away, and even a Safeway and CVS right across the street. It is the noisiest hotel; the walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors talking and the showers running bright and early in the morning... more

I was here for a week-long work meeting with about 400 people. The hotel billed itself as smoke-free, yet I kept smelling smoke in my room all week. I though it was coming from the stairwell near my room, assuming it was from employees sneaking smokes in the stairwell to avoid the nasty weather outside. The last night it was... more

Sorry for the late review. I stayed here in May 2008 for two nights. It was MUCH better than the first time I stayed here. Everything was perfect. I used the fitness room this time and found it well equipped for a hotel. I don't have any complaints on this visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I look forward... more

I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda numerous times over the years for NIH meetings and other work in the Bethesda / Washington, DC area. I have tried almost every hotel in Bethesda, but the Hyatt has been my favorite over the years due to its ideal location. Located just above the Bethesda Metro station, the hotel is extremely... more

We booked the hotel via Hotwire. Great location, just next to Metro station and there is a french cafe w/in walking distance. Great for breakfast. Only thing that may not be that great is you have to pay for internet. more

This property was very disappointing. It was more of a low grade conference hotel than anything else. Rooms smelled badly (we had to switch rooms because the first one gave us headaches), they were dark, with ugly badly maintained furniture. Breakfast was served with plastic cutlery and plastic cups. The location next to the metro was practical though. Next time... more

The Hyatt Regency Bethesda is clearly a hotel directed at business travelers. However, they charge $10/day for s-l-o-w Internet access in your room. Not even the discount hotel chains charge for Internet anymore! The decor in the rooms is fine...your average hotel look. However, the heating unit in the room was ancient and so noisy that it kept me up... more

To begin with, I am a Hyatt Gold Passport member and travel frequently. I always search for a Hyatt in any location I travel to and have had little complaints with the Hyatt's of previous travel. However, the Hyatt Bethesda has to be THE worst Hyatt I have ever stayed in. From arrival to departure; the room I reserved was... more

I booked my stay at the Hyatt Bethesda from Hotwire for a great price. I was in town for a conference and appreciated the extremely easy access to the metro station. There were many nice restaurants, shops, and two movie theaters within walking distance of the hotel. The fitness room was great with top-of-the-line treadmills and ellipticals. Rooms somewhat dated,... more

As the title of this reivew states, you can't beat the convenience of this hotel if work/leisure finds that you must be in Bethesda. Spent one night, got a great rate on priceline.com ($100 including taxes). Assigned 9th floor room with two double beds. Clean, quiet, if a tad bit worn around the edges. Nice sized bathroom. Front desk personnel... more
