I attended a bar mitzvah held downstairs in the beautiful ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. This venue is GORGEOUS! The Hyatt staff are all super friendly and very helpful. And the food is AMAZING! Truly an awesome experience. I hope to back to party here again sometime soon!

Although the hotel looks like a Doubletree inside, the rooms are well appointed and clean. Hotel check in staff and concierge extremely friendly and helpful. Our main complaint was if you want free wifi you have to go and sit in the lobby... come on Hyatt, this is so last century... give us free wifi in the rooms please! :-)... More

I stayed here for a meeting and found the hotel to be extremely noisy at night, with voices echoing up through the interior courtyard all night. The room service was very weak. I ordered the salmon which the menu said was accompanied by browned rice and vegetable. When it arrived it was a rather plain piece of salmon with a... More

Right on top of Bethesda Metro station and walking distance to many local eateries A Barnes & Noble being close by is another plus. And the Capital Crescent Trail is right there too, if you need to walk/run off your stresses. The hotel is a bit expensive and charges an arm and a leg for wifi access. No complimentary breakfast,... Superb location at Bethesda Metro station, 1 stop away from Medical Center station (NIH, NCI). Bethesda Circulator bus stop is next to the Hyatt within the metro station with 24 armed police Hyatt surrounded by large selection of international restaurants on route of Bethesda Circulator. Two restaurants in lobby open 6:30 am until 11:00 p.m.-- Daily Grill and Morton's Steakhouse.... More

This hotel appears that it used to be an Embassy Suites. It was a bit dated but was clean. There's a hotel bar and a huge gift shop with drinks and snacks. The Metro station is right there and it was about a 45 minute cab ride from Dulles in rush hour traffic. There are a huge selection of restaurants... More

In town for business. Right at the top of the escalator from the Red Line Bethesda stop (also has Valet parking). Odd set up -when you walk int he front door, there is a reception area with no one to receive you - the desk is to the right. My 9th floor King room was away from the elevator: spacious,... More

Although the hotel is beautiful and conveniently located to the metro, the atrium noise is horrendous. I am on the 7th floor and, after trying fan noise and tv to cover the atrium noise, am now resorting to trying to sleep with my iPod on. Screaming and laughter echoing up through the 12 story atrium is outrageous. Why no one... More

This hotel is in a great location. This is a well run property that is comfortable. It is a little dated, yet everything worked just fine. This hotel seems to be at the end of the Hyatt upgrade priority list. I'll be back for another stay, hopefully they'll get to the upgrade soon.

Just had a three day conference at the Hyatt. Very convenient to Washington and the Metro. The hotel is in need of a renovation. Staff is friendly and tries hard. Given the rejuvenation of all of Bethesda, it is time for some look and feel upgrades, especially the worn and torn wallpaper.
