I found the Bethesda Doubletree slightly dingy in a basement-y sort of way. I arrived a day ahead of a meeting on a warm sunny day, anxious for fresh air after a day of traveling. But the lobby was depressing with no natural light at all. Moreover, the front desk clerk informed me that there are no outdoor spaces available... more

We tried to find a last minute hotel deal over 4th of July weekend and were surprised with the deal we got from Priceline. We requested a 3.5 star hotel in the Silver Spring area for $60 and it was accepted and the result was the Doubletree in Bethesda. That was a great deal for us since we were in... more

stayed for two nights. the hotel is "rennovated," but the air conditioning unit was extremely loud and inconsistent - either too cold or not working at all. our in-suite television set didn't seem to be able to play any movies. the bathroom was way too small. the toilet was very low, such that if you tried to wipe yourself, your... more

Stayed here for 4 nights while on a business trip. Found the hotel to be clean and very comfortable. My room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was ok - good range of choices, hot and cold. Cookies available from reception were rather delicious! Location was good also - handy to the metro which we caught into DC one evening... more

The Hotel was fantastic! I took my wife, 3 children and mother-In-Law to DC for the weekend and arrived at the hotel at 10a, I figured it was way to early to get into our room, however they allowed us to check in early. we requested 2 high level rooms, close to each other, non smoking and all 3 request... more

I got a great price on my room -- heck, the rental car was more expensive -- and was fearing a fleabag place. Not so! This is a clean, well-kept, somewhat cushy hotel, with bigger rooms than you can get for much more money in downtown DC. The hotel is built in a funny shape so that every room has... more

We had two wonderful nights at the Doubletree. From the first minute we pulled up, the valet parking staff took great care of us, the check -in went smoothly (chocolate cookies to eat on the way up to your room), a big fruit basket at the front desk, and we had a king size bed on a pure floor. The... more

This was my first visit and I will definitely return. We booked a King room and were upgraded to a large king room. The room was clean, bright and spacious with a balcony and flat screen TV. The bathroom was a bit small, but well lit with nice amenities. There was a nice bar for the evening and a Starbucks... more

Stayed at the Doubletree for 3 nights early this year, and I was very impressed. The room was very large, and extremely well furnished. There was free internet, which was a massive bonus, and makes a change from paying the usual $10-$15 per day. The staff were also friendly and attentive. Perhaps the only thing I'd slightly mark the room... more

The room was pretty big and clean, but the bathroom was very small. The heater was ridiculous - too loud and inconsistent temperature. The service was excellent, but when somebody in our party tried to figure out how to book a trip they were clueless. We are told that the restaurants are excellent but did not have a chance to... more
