You would think that a hotel with it's company headquarters almost in the backyard could have it's act together. Almost every day had some issue or problem. We had been told that the hotel shuttle would take us to the Metro station. But, no one arrived to drive at the promised time. The bellman said it was not up to... More

The beds are nice and the room design seems fine when you arrive, but the hotel's low rates do not include free internet, or parking, and breakfast is $15/person for essentially the buffett you get for free at a Residence Inn. Your actual cost will be at least $40 higher per night for two if you eat breakfast at the... More

I stayed here Saturday, February 10th, 2007 because of unexpected business situation. Like many of other local hotels in the area, it's geared more toward business travellers than for families. Its decor and ambience confirms that feel. The room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. I love the seperate bedroom with french doors-gives it a romantic ambience to... More

My wife and I stayed and Marriot Suites in Bethesda this month for a friend’s wedding. After reading some of the reviews here, we were not sure what to expect, but it turned out to be a very pleasant stay. Our room on the 9th floor was peaceful and very nicely decorated. I assume that there has been some renovation... More

There are many positive things to recommend the Bethesda Marriott Suites, including the exceptionally comfortable beds. But if the room I was given when I checked in on 12/30/05 for 2 nights--which was identified as non-smoking, since I'd reserved non-smoking--is any indication, the hotel lets people smoke in non-smoking rooms and/or has an inadequate ventilation system that brings in smoke.... My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Bethesda Suites at 6711 Democracy Boulevard on Thursday January 12, 2006. The room was very nice with a small living room with a couch, TV, Wet bar and a desk. The Bedroom had a wonderful king-size bed with lots of marvelous soft pillows. And the manager told us that in March the... More

marriott must have listened to the nay-sayers on this site because the hotel was spotless. the rooms are large and well appointed. i felt like a first class business traveler even though we were here just visiting friends that live in the area. the restaurant is above average in quality and the lobby is always bustling. the pool is quite... This Marriott is not up to their usual standards. The lobby appears to have been recently redecorated, and is very nice. The rooms, however, are very outdated. They appear to be vintage 1980, and were not very clean. The carpets were dirty and worn. The minifridge had an odd smell to it. The staff was pleasant, but not particularly on... More

We had an extended stay due to corporate relocation. The rooms were filthy. The hotel carpets were so smelly and dirty that our white socks turned brown from walking only for a few minutes accross the floor (this was even after requesting the carpets be washed!). The kitchen appliances all malfunctioned; the microwave didn't work, the stove didn't work, the... More

The moment you walk into this hotel, the feeling is of a business hotel, the hotel has a nice business-like reception area, not much of a sitting area, just carpets and the reception. The business center is on the right of the reception as well as the hotel shop. On the left of the reception area, you will find a... More
