This is a very nice hotel next to Marriott Headquarters and very close to Montgomery Mall. Other reviewers are right that it's not close to anything so you need a car but it's EZ access to the Beltway and I-270. We loved our room, very stylish. One flat screen tv in bedroom, older tv in living area. Small balconies which... more

We've stayed at this hotel four times in the past six years (we have family at an assisted living facility in the area) and had never before had an unsatisfactory experience. But this year, our stay there was a revelation -- the worst kind. The rooms are spacious and clean, and that is the only positive statement I can make. The... more

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel in the last 3 years. Apparently, as a result of the downturn, the staffing levels have been significantly curtailed at this hotel and the service was simply abyssmal. I am a very loyal Marriott customer, but could not believe the blase attitude at the front desk and at breakfast.... more

We stayed here for spring break with our kids (age 9 and 7) for their first trip to Washington DC. Compared to other suite hotels in the DC area, this place was a bargain. The rooms were ample size (not huge, not small) where our kids were able to share the sofa sleeper and we had our separate king bed... more

Great location if you have a car. A short ride to the Metro (free parking on weekends at the Metro station). This likely keeps the crowds aways unlike the hotels that sit on top of the metro stations in Bethesda and Chevy Chase. Nice suite layout. King size bed in bedroom. Pull out couch in living area. Wet bar with... more

I read some reviews on this Marriott that were very scary... I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I have stayed in many Marriotts and other chain hotels, and this by far was the best experience I've had. The bed was incredibly comfortable; the room was tastefully decorated and CLEAN; the bathroom was wonderful. Attention has been paid to every... more

I stayed at the Bethesda Marriott suites for 3 nights for a conference at NIH. Overall, it was a great experience. The hotel is a bit out of the way and I didn't have a car, so getting around is tricky, but the hotel does run a shuttle to the Metro and the mall nearby. If you are planning on... more

This hotel is lovely and comfortable. Good room service, nice fitness center, comfortable bed BUT if you don't have a car, this hotel is absolutely hell. There seem to be only a few taxi companies and they are not reliable. They took 45 minutes to come the first time that the staff called so that I was quite late to my... more

My 17 year old son and I stayed at the Bethesda Marriott Suites while touring colleges in DC. This is a newer hotel and quite well kept. (Interestingly, it's located very close to Marriott's headquarters.) The room was great. Our suite had a bedroom with a king bed, which was separated by french doors from the living area which had... more

My suite was ample in size with a good-sized living/work area and a separate bedroom enclosed by lovely French doors. It appeared relatively new or redone and was very clean. Given that the hotel is located near a major highway, I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my room was. FYI -- my room was on the back side, which... more
