We stayed at the Inn at Tanglewood Hall Oct 9 - 12, 2014. Our room was very nice and clean. We arrived late in the evening, and even though check-in is normally between 3 - 6 pm, the owners, Andy & Su made arrangements for us to pick up our keys in a secure location. However, when we pulled-up at... More

We've stayed in numerous BB's and this was a fantastic example of a New England house, NE hospitality and a beautiful fall retreat. We had pretty low expectations because the last B&B we stayed in was a 5-star traditional English B&B in Chatham, Ma. However, we were pleasantly surprised and pleased. Beautiful grounds with neat nighttime lighting...the porch is fantastic... More

We chose this B&B based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews and we were quite disappointed as the reviews did not really match our experience AT ALL. The negative energy that Su portrayed during every conversation was overwhelming and Andy did his best to offset this horrible energy that Su oozed, but it was not enough to counteract it. We stayed... More

We thank the reviewer for citing our overwhelmingly positive reviews written by guests who are not offended by our clearly written policies. This review was written by a guest who ignored our published policy re not accepting children under 12. He and his wife arrived with their unexpected 18 month-old daughter for a fully-booked Columbus Day Friday reservation. Su restated... More

My daughter and I recently spent a night at the Inn during a short visit to New England, and this was the favorite B&B of our tour. The inn and its grounds are charming inside and out. Su and Andy made us feel most welcome and offered coastal walking and driving suggestions nicely tailored to our very short stay. Breakfast... More

The Inn at Tanglewood was everything I envisioned when I went looking for a bed & breakfast in Maine. It turned out to be just what I was looking for. The hosts, the room, the food, the house decorated for Fall, the nearby sites of Hubble Lighthouse and the Cliff Walk and the most perfect porch made this a perfect... More

A lovely retreat in a beautiful small Maine town with a historic atmosphere you will certainly enjoy. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the entire home immaculate. The hosts, Su and Andy were delightful and breakfast was delicious with some of the best quiche I've ever eaten. The area is beautiful for a nice morning walk and the grounds beautiful.... More

My wife, daughter and I recently spent the night with Sue and Andy (Thurs 9/11/14) at their historic and lovely Inn. As innkeepers, Sue and Andy provide the perfect balance between being caring and helpful while allowing for privacy. The Inn is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are numerous activities nearby (shopping, restaurants, historic sights, walking trails, beaches) and... More

The Inn is a beautifully decorated former large summer home of a celebrity that was turned into an inn, It has beautiful gardens, a large front porch, and is walking distance to a very nice beach. It is run by Sue and Andy who are fabulous cooks and delightful to speak with. They also really know the area and are... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Tanglewood on Monday, 08/04/14 through Wednesday, 08/06/14. The Inn's driveway was a bit difficult to find at first. By the time we saw the sign we were past the driveway. The driveway was also partially hidden by some large bushes making it even more difficult to spot. As we drove down... More

We enjoyed this couple very much and had lovely chats during their breakfasts of Banana Cream French Toast and Artichoke Cheese Puff with Chipotle Aioli & Mango Peach Salsa. They seemed very happy during their entire stay. We are surprised and disconcerted to discover that they were in any way dissatisfied while here and did not approach us personally. Jellyd's... More

The innkeepers, Su and Andy, are everything you could hope for when staying in a B&B. Which is to say, warm, welcoming, knowledgable about the local area and accomplished cooks. They also know exactly how to create a very pretty and inviting space. I stayed here with my husband and two teenage children and all of us were very happy... More
