3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We recently stayed 2 nights in the main building, there to attend a wedding. Stayed in room 312 which has 2 queen beds and a partial view of the ocean. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful (we had a small problem in the room that they resolved VERY quickly, and were very pleasant about handling) The view: It... More

We have stayed at the Anchorage at different times over the years. It may not be for everyone, but when we need a quick place to stay it is usually accommodating and available. If you are looking for quiet, this is probably not the place for you. There is usually lots of activity and some noise as there are plenty... More

We spent the weekend at the Anchorage Inn for my 40th birthday. We stayed in one of the suites. It was absolutely beautiful. When we walked into our room immediately we saw the beautiful gas fireplace. The bedroom area had a very comfortable king size bed with a flat screen TV. The living room area had a couch and another... More

Went to Maine for a wedding and my husband & I stayed at the Anchorage Inn. We were assigned a room in the "Atrium" section of the hotel which features an indoor swimming pool in the middle. We were on the 3rd floor so the noise of the children in the pool was not bothersome but our daughter was on... More

Hello Dragonlady1969, Thank you for staying with us. We agree, we do certainly cater to families during the summer months with the 4 pools in our facilities, and families do tend to prefer the Atrium because of the proximity to the pool. We do close the pool at 9pm to ensure comfort while our guests sleep, but I apologize if... More

Returned with hesitation, but won't be back. The location is great, but the rest of the experience is sub-par. Depsite the insistance that we wear arm bands to the pool, no one ever checked them, and we noticed mini van loads of people being dropped off to spend the day - without arm bands. The clientele is a mix of... More

Hello Naimh C, Thank you for staying with us again this summer. It sounds, unfortunately, that our clientele in the summer doesn't fit your expectations, so we understand that we may not be the best fit for your summer stays in the future. Families are certainly our clientele during the peak months of July and August. Once Labor Day hits... More

We were very fortunate to talk with someone at the hotel and ask about accommodations: thanks to a very nice young lady we were booked in room # 336: Atrium building. Third floor corner room in the atrium building that was absolutely fantastic. We had our private balcony with two chairs that looked directly toward the beach. Choose you room... More

Took advantage of the wonderful resort restaurant across the street where the food was super and on the ocean. Great family destination , reasonable prices...yes a lot of kids but remember you are on vacation ...walked to... More

We stayed in the Towers section on the 3rd floor. Comfortable room and quiet. AC did not dehumidify. Car not needed, as it is a 5 minute walk into town, then onto Ogunquit Beach. Marginal Way is adjacent and provides a scenic stroll to Perkins Cove. Guests are eligible for 20% discount on tickets to Ogunquit Playhouse - an unexpected... More

Arrived on 8/31/14-9/5/14 to the Anchorage Inn. Check in was quick, and smooth. Swim bracelets were given for the pool. We stayed in room 242 in the Atrium building. Limited view of the ocean. Two queen beds, with small balcony. Room was clean, and neat. Quiet building. Coffee maker, small refrigerator also included. This room had no safe. Really enjoyed... More

Separated from the ocean road by a large yard, with two swimming pools, two wading pools, a water slide, walk-in fountains, what's not to love if you're seven years old! It's a great place to thunder around...and they do. Basic motel decor, external hallways (excellent for impromptu racing, plus you get some cool echoes when you yell), a large rooftop... More

Hello WorldSki, Thank you for staying with us. It's true the summer certainly brings many parents and their children to southern Maine in July and August, those two months are definitely busy for us! Outside of those 2 months, its a big change as we host more couples traveling up the coast or checking out the leaves in the fall.... More
