We were fortunate to book a last minute one night escape here last weekend. We typically vacation farther up the Maine coast, and were thrilled to find this heavenly place so close to Boston, just off the path of the overpopulated, more touristy areas. We could sit on the deck sipping prosecco and watch the boats and the tides flow... More

I was originally confused by the layout of the "hotel" my extended family had chosen to stay in, as seen in the website photos. But once I arrived and realized it was more of a bed and breakfast with an expanded campus, it made much more sense. As mentioned by many, the location is gorgeous. Our family members had rooms... We stay at the dockside every summer because it is so peaceful. The service and attention to guest needs is above standard. Wonderful grounds to walk and relax, kayaking and fishing only steps away. I always find it funny when people from the "city" complain about "noise" here, at night you can hear a pin drop. It may be because... More

Dockside is a beautiful place hidden a cove and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The service was excellent, food remarkable and everything you can expect for a first class hotel. I would recommend it to everyone. Definitely will be coming back.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend and it was amazing. The food was delectable and the service fantastic. We highly recommend. We will agree there is not a lot of soundproofing as we could hear the people above us walking around their room. But it by no means affected our weekend. The Inn is conveniently located to many... We were married on the lawn of the Dockside Guest Quarters and had our reception at the Dockside restaurant. Our family and friends fell in love with this quintessential Maine property just as we did last year when we decided on the Dockside. You feel so secluded and yet you are only minutes to all the activity of York, Kittery... More

If you are looking for a restful place for a quiet relaxing vacation, this is probably not the place for you. While the setting is magnificent, the rooms lack soundproofing. Furthermore the innkeepers live offsite and the office closes at nine. The inmates run the asylum until morning. And trust me they did!! It was ANIMAL HOUSE revisited (absent the... More

I sincerely apologize for the disturbance described in the review above. Unfortunately, in the rush to portray the Dockside as something akin to Animal House several important facts have been left out. The after hours emergency contact phone number was miss dialed by this guest, they inadvertently left messages on a vacant guest room’s voicemail when trying to reach the... More

My husband and I were looking for a quiet summer getaway, the Dockside Guest Quarters delivered. We had a cozy room with a deck overlooking the bay. We enjoyed watching the fishermen head out at sunrise and listening to the waves lull us to sleep. Breakfasts were enjoyed on the beautiful front porch of the main house. We planned a... More

My wife and I spent our first night in New England at the Dockside Guest Quarters in October. Having arrived in the dark we went to the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant itself is quite plain but cosy and welcoming, the food was absolutely outstanding. We awoke the next morning to the most beautiful view over the bay - we... More

We recently stayed for two nights in one of Dockside Crow's Nest rooms. We were traveling with our grown daughter and wanted a larger room in which to obtain a little bit more privacy. The room was smaller that we expected. According to our daughter the sofa bed in the living room was just OK. Furniture was a bit outdated... More

It is too bad that your expectations and assumptions of room size did not match the room you selected. It sounds like two rooms would have been much more comfortable for you. The pull out couch you mentioned is 2 years old and of high quality, unfortunately no pull-out couch will be as comfortable as a bed for an adult... More

The Dockside is a special place on the Maine seacoast offering distinctive dining and lodging overlooking picturesque York Harbor. It captures the essence of Maine with its natural beauty, gracious hospitality and abundant activities.
