We had chosen the Morning Glory Inn for our 2009 Fall stay in York on the basis of the numrous excellent comments we had read on the Net. Now that we have spent two delightful days at Bonnie and Bill Alstrom's Inn, we have no other choice but to fully agree with all these high recommendations. Our hosts were great:... more

Innkeepers, Bonnie and Bill Alstrom have created "a hidden yet sparkling B&B jewel" at their lovely bed & breakfast, The Morning Glory Inn in York, Maine. Even the journey to this wonderful bed & breakfast is memorable. As you turn off Route 1A and travel onto the beautifully winding Organaug Road you travel under a canopy of aged hardwood trees... more

My wife and I stayed at the Morning Glory Inn and subsequently wrote a review on Trip Advisor. I made a huge mistake when rating the inn and rated it as terrible. Please, please believe me that this was an error when ticking the boxes. This inn is one of the best in New England if not the whole of... more

The beginning of August was my husband and my 1st trip to Maine. Our primary reason for the trip was to see Tony Award Winner (for Jersey Boys) Christian Hoff in the roll of Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls at the Ogunquit Playhouse. (BTW, he was FABULOUS as was the rest of the cast; saw it 3 times). I... more

I searched through many reviews and info about Maine before deciding on the Morning Glory. A lot of places seemed overpriced and the Morning Glory seemed very fair, the location seemed good, and the other reviews sold me. We're not huge B&B people in general, but Bonnie and Bill may have changed that for us. Between the great info about... more

The Heron room was lovely and very functional with a great bathroom, shower and separate tub. The gardens were gorgeous. A very tranquil spot. Host were extremely accommodating and helpful. Food was OK. Put out packaged store bought cookies at tea time. Good location to go exploring the Maine cost. more

This is our third visit to Morning Glory Inn this season and each time we felt like we had a perfect getaway. The gardens are in bloom and the quiet elegance of the surroundings created a setting for relaxation which is just what we needed for our 6 night summer vacation. The breakfasts as usual were delicious beginning with Bill's... more

My wife and I have been staying with Bill and Bonnie over ten years in two different facilities. We almost never stay in hotels as we prefer the intimacvy of the B & B experience and we have no qualms in reporting that these inn keepers and this facility are by far the best that we have ever stayed with... more

What a find! We have family in the area and love to visit. Bill and Bonnie were the perfect hosts and the inn was just lovely. From the first glimpse, the flower gardens invited us into another world filled with beautiful furnishings, a variety of reading material and a cozy atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Morning Glory Inn to... more

Large rooms with private decks. Expansive common rooms, including loft library. Innkeepers are non-intrusive. Quiet location with nice garden breakfast patio. Not for the hungry early riser - breakfast buffet is not put out until after 8:30. more
