My husband and I stayed at Newkirk Inn in January for one night. It was a great experience! The owner was very accommodating and was able to chat with us for a bit. Our room was well appointed and the antiques and decor in our room (Alna) were very classic New England style. The room and Inn had local touches... More

Anyone who claims New Englanders are cold should stay at the Newkirk Inn in Wiscasset. From the moment he greets you at the door with his sidekick, Gunther, the daschund, the innkeeper, Chris, makes you feel as though you are the most interesting guest he has ever had. Chris is a wealth of knowledge about Wiscasset and the surrounding area.... More

I wish this rating had ten stars, because that is what the Newkirk Inn deserves. Chris and Cheryl are lovely people, and their dachshund Gunther is an exuberant host barking you on board. I had the Dresden Room which is a charming apartment on the third floor, but all the rooms are clean and of the highest quality. Chris is... More

The Dresden Room is like a little apartment and our guests that are traveling alone, on business or have a studio apartment (at home) really enjoy that space. We are always happy to help guests find the right part of our small inn to call home. Thanks for the wonderful review! More

Stayed here for one night on our way up the Maine coast towards Bar Harbor. The Newkirk Inn was just the place. Chris was so friendly and welcoming. We had the Boothbay room which had the bathroom across the hall, both rooms were spotless. Breakfast was continental style with the addition of a couple of hot items and very nice.... More

We stayed at the Newkirk Inn for three nights in September this year and hope to return next year. We had a very pleasant stay in this charming inn run by charming hosts and the short walk into Wiscasset made it very convenient. Chris was very helpful with his local knowledge. It was our first visit to Maine and we... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Newkirk Inn. The room was very comfortable, clean and quirky, and most of all cool in the heatwave. We are so glad to have the opportunity to meet Chris, he is a mine off information about the area and very hospitable. The breakfast exceeded all expectations with plenty of fresh tasty fruit, cereal and... More

My partner and I were on a bike trip across the Maine Coast when we got caught in some rain storms! Even though it was last minute and he was booked for the whole weekend, Chris got us setup on a Thursday night. Even though it was only 9 in the morning he insisted that we come hours before check-in... More

We have stayed, literally, in dozens of B&B's throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. They are all different, but we really enjoy the B&B experience vs. a hotel. Newkirk Inn has to rate among the very best B&B we have enjoyed. It is casual, breakfast being served as a buffet in the kitchen with seating in a lovely dining... More

We showed up late at night and it was clear we were keeping Chris up but he was friendly, did not rush us, and welcomed us into his home. Rooms have a folksy charm, beds were soft, and clean bathrooms (actual soap and shampoo in the shower too!). The breakfast was our favorite. What Chris does not make himself, he... More
