We had to go to Maine. My Mother had just passed away, and we went there to put her urn in the ground and say good bye. At the same time, we were taking children and grandchildren that had never been there, in fact one of my grandchildren lives in New Mexico and had never even seen the Atlantic Ocean!... More

It's conveniently located, comfortable, and priced right for economy travelers. Small amenities were off: the coffee creamers were curdled, the shampoo was impossible to open, and yes, you do hear the traffic when not asleep. But you chose a place on the through road, right? It was nicer than a cookie-cutter chain.

Very nice, quiet place to stay. One of those gems you stumble across at times. Rooms are nicely furnished. Reasonably priced. Almost feels like you are in a remote area with all the trees on the property. About the only thing that kept me from giving an Excellent rating was that the room did not have a refrigerator and the... More

It's early in the season and we took an overnight to Wiscasset. Getting to the motel, the desk supervisor (owner?) was just short of surly. She wanted to know if we really wanted the second floor room we had reserved. It seemed as though she wanted us to move, so I said sure, give us what is most convenient. She... More

We appreciated being close to everything we wanted to see, while feeling like we were in the woods, thanks to the property's landscaping. It was a very comfortable night. The beds were comfy, bathroom sized right, very quiet and reasonably priced. The WiFi was up and down, which meant more time for reading, always a good thing. All in all,... More

For those looking for a no-frills stay in Wiscasset - this is not a bad place. Less than 1 bill but no modern amenities - mainly there is no Wi-Fi. This is probably a deal breaker for the majority of travelers. I stayed at this place because it is so close to where my daughter was staying for the semester... More

Rooms were clean and efficient enough for our needs. Very clean property and pretty bushes. make sure you book in the newer remodeled buildings. Never saw the advertised breakfast area. Clever zip lines at Monkey see Monkey do 2 minutes up road.

I see from other reviews a few others had a similar experience with this individual (see the toilet paper caper, and the radiator white smoke). In our instance: we asked, as we always do, to have a look at the room before agreeing to take it. The woman behind the counter was outraged...outraged by this request. "No one has EVER... More

While alongside main road, no road noise heard at night. Staff helpful when asked for information. Room and grounds and office were very clean. Room was a bit worn but safe and sound. Used as base for day trips to Lobster Festival in Rockland and then next day to Boothbay area. Good coffee and simple but filling breakfast supplied.

Made reservations ahead based on location and rates, but was extremely surprized! Nice and clean comfortable and very reasonable! A nice Maine experience that you won't get at a chain hotel. Office was helpful in directions and information too! I will stay there again! There is a grocery store just down the road and within a few miles is the... More
