Yes, the cost of the motel is a value for where you are at, but that's about it. The owners are working very hard to upgrade the motel, but they have a ways to go - they didn't seem to plan ahead to have the rooms assigned to reservations open and ready to go. Our room was clean enough, but... More

If you don't want to pay over $150 for a room in Wells then this place will surprise you. its not a Hilton but it had what we needed. Nice clean room and a huge pool. For 94 bucks on a Saturday... I won't complain.

Tallwood is old style, family owned motel. Rooms are dated but clean. Staff is freindly and accomodating. Had trouble getting towels and other supplies replaced as there was a language problem with the housekeeping staff. Centerally located and close to some fantastic restaurants. I would rather spend money on a lobster than a fancy room.

I was disappointed with this place. Pictures looked good and are similar to what you get but you can't see how dark and humid the place is. Descriptions talked about BBQs but no gaz tanks. kitchen area but no dishes, wifi but signal was too low to get emails, we ended up going to McDonalds in the mornings for coffee... More

Classic yellow with white trim buildings with trees throughout the property, and a white picket fence surrounding the pool enhance the charm. Chairs are provided in front of every room and I'm sitting outside in the morning enjoying the pleasant weather and sounds of civilization. The owners are friendly and the price excellent. The room was clean, no spiders, mildew,... More

Last Summer, I book a room for one day but have cancelled this booking. After a year later, I found a charge of $84.53 for a cancelled reservation on my credit card statement. I contact the owner about this mistake he said he would give me credit and some bull story saying I was accidentally charge due to switching of... More

I happened upon this place last minute, while driving down the road when all other hotels and motels were closed - 11pm. I was offered a cottage (#16) and asked to see the room. The owner was happy to give me the key to check it out alone. I was not thrilled with the place but when I asked if... More

My husband and I reluctantly left our niece and her two small children there last week for the night, as we were heading north and they were heading south. Outside smelled like some type of chemical! The room was awful , and the desk clerk ( the owner, I assume) wouldn't give me the full price for what she had... More

After we paid we were told the pool was closed, they are vacuuming it. Umm... It was green. Entered the room and the closed up mildew smell was overwhelming. Furniture old and worn out, bed was saggy and beyond uncomfortable. There were two smoke detectors on a shelf without batteries and no operating smoke detector at all. Bathroom fixtures were... More

We booked a cabin through booking.com and when we walked through the door we knew were ripped off. The "cottage" we rented (unit 14) was nothing like the photos online. The room was extremely small, maybe 10x10 and very dirty. There was a full size bed with a small table, small fridge and microwave. A door leading out to the... More
