Just returned from a stay in Unit 1D. We were nervous, given some negative comments in reviews. Happy to say it was very nice. Spotless and nicely decorated. Unit was huge and was nicely furnished. Great for the price too! Condos are rated 1-5...ask what rating your unit has before booking. Ours was a 5 and it did not disappoint.... more

We got one of their special package deals, two nights, free movies, dinner included one night. It was a great value for everything that was included. The location is perfect, close to everything. The only downfall was the room decor. It looks like it was last decorated/updated in the '70s or '80s. They need to update! The movies included in... more

"Village By The Sea" was a complete deviation from our usual stay in York, and we stopped by the Wells Chamber of Commerce for help from a Gentleman who suggested this location. We were very happy with the accommodations - asking to view a few options before committing. We rented 1F, opting for a more expensive unit so we could... more

We stayed at room 8 E over the weekend for a wedding. It's on the second floor of the building. For the price we paid, it's well worth the money. A two bedroom condo with everything makes our life so much easier. Our little kids love it too, as it's rare that they can run around hotels room when we... more

We stayed at the Village many times and we just love it. This time we stayed in 13D , It was clean and comfortable and the view from the deck was beautiful , Looking out you see the marsh and ocean. The front desk staff were pleasant and very helpful. I can't wait to go back . It was very... more

This motel has condo units that are individually owned and rented out. Translation- you may end up with a horribly mantained unit with no view, like we did. We stayed in 11-A, a basement unit in the middle the building. From the moment you descend the dark, dank staircase to the unit, you get the feeling it's going to be... more

Just back from a week at VBTS. This was our first stay here. We had a 2 bedroom condo and the view of the tidal river and the ocean beyond was breathtaking. The master bedroom had a balcony overlooking the river and was a great place to sit. The master bedroom has an attached full bath and a small electric... more

This was my 3rd stay at VBTS in a year. 1st stay was 11/06 with my mother. We stayed in unit 8C. Unit was roomy and had everything we needed. Especially loved the fireplace! 2nd stay in 2/07 was with mother and 12-year old nephew during school vacation week. Again, we had unit 8C. This time I noticed that the... more

I recently stayed at the Village by the Sea for my sister's wedding. As a hotelier myself I was absolutely amazed by the facility and recreation it offers. Village by the Sea is located very close to lovely Wells Beach and is located walking or driving distance from local pharmacies, grocery stores, etc. I arrived to be greeted by very... more

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 15E at Village By the Sea for our anniversary just recently. I have to say that I was very impressed with not only the room but also the staff of the hotel. 15E is an absolutely beautiful room and very well kept. The room was extremely well taken care of and exceptionally clean.... more
