If you want to get away from it all and I mean all, this is the place to go. No television, no internet, cell phone had one bar. There is internet service in the main building but not the cabins. The lake is great a perfect place for canoeing and kyacking. The onsite restaurant is the go to place in... More

I stay at the Kawanhee Inn at least a few nights every summer. It is welcoming, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The view from the porch is spectacular! As noted in the title of this review, the Inn is rustic--think log cabin. Some rooms have shared bath facilities. However, the Inn has a fully-stocked bar, a fantastic dinner menu, and a... More

At first sight, the Kawanhee complex is a vision of rustic perfection. The lakeside setting, the inn and surrounding cabins and open-feeling wood-beamed common area with stone fireplace are impressive. Although most of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful, the inn misses the mark on providing the level of service that should come with such a property.... More

I walked into the parking lot from the car, wow what a cool looking building. I walked into the lobby, wow what a cool lobby. I walked to the bar and looked outside, wow I get to drink whilst looking at this amazing view? So many wows about this place, from the food to the atmosphere to the staff. Warning,... More

We are about to come back for a third stay this summer. I came when I was younger (15 years ago), and again last year. The lakeside location is perfect for outdoor walking, canoeing or porch-sitting. I love the quaint lodge and the old-fashioned rooms. An idyllic Maine summer lodge experience. Worth the trek through sweet, Maine-y Weld, ME.

My grand parents met here in the 1930s when she worked at the inn and he worked at the boys camp. My family and I used to come here when we were kids. Now we bring our children. It a great place to unplug and relax. The grandparents are gone but the memories remain.

Kawanhee Inn in Weld, Maine is a place of beauty in many different ways. The Inn is perched on a hill above beautiful Webb Lake which is nestled beneath the beautiful Tumbledown Mountain Range to the west and beautiful Mount Blue and its State Park to the north. Hiking trails abound. The Inn itself and accompanying cabins are historic and... More

We arrived at the Kawanhee Inn on a Friday evening and were greeted by acoustic guitar and joyful song that stayed very well contained in the lodge's great room. The lilting music welcomed us to the bar (visually stunning woodwork throughout) for a drink and delightful conversation with the many sweet guests and staff, and when it was time to... More

When The Kawanhee Inn was rescued by its current owner, the tourism business in Maine received the best gift possible. My family and I have enjoyed the individual cabins for several summers in a row and each year our Kawahnee trip wins as the most relaxing and enjoyable family time of the year. Plus, the big Inn has a phenomenal... More

We got married at the Kawanhee Inn last weekend and it was truly an unforgettable weekend for us. Kawanhee is the definition of rustic beauty. Our friends and family members are still posting pictures and updating their statuses that "they want to go back..." We wanted a weekend wedding venue where people could enjoy the outdoors, reconnect to family and... More
