The Waterford Inne is a bit of heaven. Barbara and Jan have found the right balance of comfort, attention and privacy for their guests. The Inn itself is lovely. The rooms are thoughtfully arranged and spotlessly clean. Beds are comfy with nice linens. There are cozy nooks downstairs perfect for curling up with a book. And the screened -in porch... More

There are many Inns in New England that have lovely views and the Waterford Inne has one of the most stunning that we have seen. What we hope for, but don't always receive, is the kind of overall experience that my husband and I had while staying there. The inn is beautiful inside and out but what struck me immediately... My husband was quite sick with advanced cancer and he wished to spend some time away from home...sort of on his "bucket list", so we stayed with the wonderful ladies at the Waterford Inne. They went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay with delicious food and attentive care, yet they were not overbearing or bothersome in... More

This was our first visit to the Maine lakes area and we were happy to find this lovely bed and breakfast inn tucked away in a picturesque area of Waterford. The setting is beautiful and the inn is a little slice of history and quite charming. The building is extremely well maintained inside and out as well as spotlessly clean.... More

I recently stayed at this lovely inn on the recommendation of a friend. I was thrilled to find it just as wonderful as she had described. My bed was so comfortable I actually over slept! I am a bit of a cleanliness nut so I was delighted to find it so clean. All of our meals were wonderful and the... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Waterford Inn during a snowstorm. The view out of my window was breathtaking and the Inn was so cozy with several sitting rooms and wonderful artifacts from around the world to look at and explore. The wallpaper in the themed rooms was really nice; the entire place is beautifully decorated and... More

Email sent to Barbara at the Waterford Inne: "I have to tell you again what an incredible meal you presented to us last evening. The perfectly cooked pork roast with a name I cannot remember, the artfully served zucchini, and the out of this world corn with butter and cream cheese and the sweet potato with the sweet nut crumble.... If you are looking for some quiet relaxation after a day of skiing, you will find it here. Lovely home/inn decorated through Barbara's extensive travel. Clean means everything, and the Waterford is spotless. We had an overnight snowstorm. Not only was the driveway plowed long before we were up, but a path was also shoveled around our car for easy... Our stay started off with a hike around the grounds. Very scenic and enjoyable. Scared up a couple deer and a rather large flock of turkey. The dinner Barb prepared, pork loin with honey roasted plums, potatoes and veggies was very tasty. Went well with our wine. Remember, BYOB since the inn doesn't have a liquor license. Being the only... More

Based on reviews here on TA I decided to give the Waterford Inne a try and I was not let down. Barbara, the innkeeper, is very welcoming and attentive. There is a Keurig machine available 24/7, as well as bottled water. Also, for those who fear the Inne may be too remote, there is a Wal-Mart 10 minutes away! Barbara... More
