I stopped by the Bear Mountain Inn when visiting Waterford near the end of the winter. It was very pretty and the owner was very nice. My friend and I snow shoed around the property enjoying the sights. Beautiful grounds and comfortable, homey interior to a inn.

We went to this Inn for a long weekend of cross country skiing and snowshoeing. There were a number of things that were very disappointing. There is a "meet the innkeepers" section of the website. Well, that family now lives in Ohio and there is some random family taking care of the place. The woman at the inn didn't even... More

This past weekend I surprised my husband with a weekend for us at the sugar bear cabin. Before we even got there the inn keepers were SO helpful and attentive. The Inn was charming. Donna and her son were kind enough to have the fire lit before we go there and we got to enter a warm, rustic, private room.... More

This was the perfect weekend getaway my husband and I were looking for! He loved how easy it was to get to Shawnee Peak and I really just enjoyed the comfort of our room with a good book and the fireplace. We both loved soaking in the hot tub with the snow coming down in the evenings. Overall, it was... More

We happened to find this neat B & B in Western Maine to stay for a long Snowmobile weekend. The countryside was beautiful and a lot of snow. This would be place to stay anytime of the year. The Snowmobile trails in this part are Maine are really among to best trails to ride with much snow and beautiful scenery.

Bear Mountain Inn is the perfect bed and breakfast. It has a beautiful location on Bear Pond. The lake is wonderful for kayaking, swimming or paddle boarding. The use of equipment is complimentary. In the evening there is is campfire and the fixings for s'mores. The inn keeper is very hospitable and makes you feel as if you were his... More

We stayed at the Bear Mountain Inn last weekend and it was absolutely wonderful. Our rooms were extremely cozy and so was our experience. Felt like we walked into our dream home. The dining area, rooms, patio, etc. are done up really well... The way quaint little inns should be. Love the view of the Bear Pond from top of... More

The buildings are historic and very well maintained. The Polo Bear room and private bathroom that we stayed in were immaculate. The inn keepers were very hospitable and went above and beyond several times to make our stay more pleasant. I mentioned I'd like a campfire so they immediately went and stacked the wood/kindling in the fire pit and prepared... More

My boyfriend are sadly leaving Bear Mountain Inn after the best weekend we have ever had. We rented out the Sugar Bear Cottage for two nights and we wished we could stay a lifetime. Aside from the cabin being cozy and romantic the Bear Mountain Inn offered way more than just a 5 star roof over our heads for two... More
