We went to Medomak Family Camp this summer and enjoyed it very much. We have 2 daughters, ages 4 and 7. Here's what I loved: *I stayed very busy and tried many new things, like sculling, open water distance swims, archery, and square dancing. *My daughters and I unplugged for a whole week, with no TV, movies, or smart phones.... For an old-fashioned vacation that the whole family can enjoy, Medomak Family Camp is a wonderful choice. Our eight "campers" ranged in age from 4 to 72, and a great time was had by all. We especially liked the small scale of the camp--just 12 families at a time, so it is possible to get to know everyone, both guests... More

This is the perfect get-away for families looking for some quality time together outdoors and away from the usual hustle and bustle. Our family enjoyed the wide variety of activities and watercraft available. Kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, yoga, and woodworking were among our favorites -- but it was also a joy to sit by the waterfront and watch the kids (ages... More

If your family values eschew electronic, passive entertainment for growing children and, instead, embrace an outdoor environment where children can explore new activities in a nurturing circle of families/staff, then a week at Camp Medomak is my recommendation. Although I am not usually effusive in my reviews, I believe excellence should be recognized. Here is my round of applause for... More

We stayed at this camp in August 2008, 2010, and 2012. The first two times, it was great. Excellent staff who really made you feel part of the family, fun activities. The cabins are "rustic" to say the least, but we had such a good time we didn't really mind. The last time we stayed, it was a different story.... More

We just finished our 5th visit to Medomak Family Camp. My earlier review still stands and there is little more I can add (please read my Aug 2008 review for lots of details). Medomak is a great place for a family vacation. We are not the only family that returns again and again. This is a place many families have... More

There are no words that I can write that can do the experience we had as a family at Medomak justice. This was our first time at Medomak and weren’t sure what to expect, but were truly blown away by the whole experience. We have kids aged from toddler to a teenager so it has been tough to find vacations... More

I emailed and called the camp imploring them to contact me if they received a cancellation for a particular session (it was all booked up at that time) since it was the only week our family had for our summer vacation. I spoke to Jackie who told me cancellations were rare but that she would definitely contact me if one... More

My husband found Medomak online after I complained that I wanted to go to summer camp like our eleven year old daughter did. Family Camp could have been a risk, but Medomak was so much better than we anticipated. The cabins were great. The food was much better than regular 'ole camp food with a very creative chef and lots... More

If you want to get away with your family to relax and have fun, Medomak is the place! Activities for all ages are planned and supervised. Amazing meals are prepared by their chef. There is plenty to do or not do if you would rather take a nap or read a book. Kids are busy all day with supervised morning... More
