Jan is a delight and a very skilled cook, two traits one treasures in an innkeeper, especially when you are the guest, which I was. Breakfast was Greek yogurt with granola, fruit and nuts, (delicious), PLUS the most exquisite marmalade french toast. The French press coffee was especially appreciated. Jan has the most friendly and interesting little Jack Russell, my... More

This is a wonderful B&B, located in an historic and beautifully maintained 18th century house. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, the common areas were thoughtfully provided with books (including a great browsing library), and the kitchen was available for guests to use (except at breakfast) since the innkeepers live in a separate building. Wifi throughout - the screened porch... More

We loved this B&B. We were traveling to Acadia, but stopped for the night to shop at Lie Nielsen Tool Company. We got the last available room, which was also the lowest priced room. It was the L shaped room. It was extremely cozy. The house had many books to browse and a wonderful sun porch to read on.

We had the big bedroom on the first floor and it was very graciously sized and had lovely appointments. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was private, though down a hall....clean and spacious. Breakfast was a very nice mix of fresh fruit and baked goods/cooked items. The house is well kept and charming. Would not hesitate to stay again and would... More

A wonderful, relaxing and comfortable place to stay. I have already booked a second stay for October.. The host is charming and helpful as well as culinary treats every morning. I have stayed at B&B's world wide. Blue Skye is one of the best. I anticipate my next stay .

I was all ready to book a September stay through their online reservations. I enquired very cordially, with my name, about the rooms fireplace and whether we could have it lit for a late arrival after 9 pm. The responses from the B&B owner were very clipped and abrupt - "when?" It only takes a brief moment of your time... More

The proposed date of this stay was Sept. 6, which is still high season in Midcoast Maine. The only smoke in the air is from barbecues. Preparing our woodstacks is an October chore. Guests may be assured that our fireplaces burn brightly once the weather turns (no mention was made of December) and there are no extra charges levied on... More

Blue Sky Farm, a historic house just outside of Waldoborough, is a lovely quiet place to enjoy some country time. This clean and well kept home was a pleasure to stay in, and a wonderful place to get a good nights rest. There are lovely gardens and outdoor areas for roaming and watching the birds in the marsh area beside... More

This work trip will become decompression time in years to come. House is delightfully decorated, spacious, and QUIET! Jan is a warm host w/o being all over you (as too many B&B owners are); provided an abundant, tasty, and varied breakfast during our four days there; and proved to be a knowledgeable local cicerone re everything from hiking to food... This was our second stay at this charming, warm and very relaxing bed and breakfast. When we were searching for a place to spend our weekend retreat, we were drawn by the rooms with real fireplaces and knew this was our place. It ended up being so much more. It exceeded our expectations on all levels. The hostess is very... More

My work took me to Waldoboro for the third year and there was no doubt in my mind where I would stay. Jan, the owner and mother of Blue Skye Farm makes it a peaceful, pleasant and warm place to stay. We were fortunate enough to make plans for dinner and what a treat. We stay in the same room... More
