My boyfriend and I have just returned home from a fab 3 night stay at The Inn at Lathones. After much research, I decided to book this inn, on the outskirts of St. Andrews, which is conveniently located being only a 10 minute drive away. It is easily accessible and located in a rural area- so very peaceful. When we... More

Four of us stayed here for 2 nights to attend a family wedding in St Andrews. We received a warm welcome. The rooms were lovely with everything you could wish for. We ate there on the Friday night and the food was superb. The staff knew that after breakfast we were going to be getting dressed for the wedding and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Best advice is to upgrade the room. The basic rooms are in need of some attention but the upgrade, (£30 per night), was worth it. Very welcoming bar/ lounge area with log burner. The barman was really lovely and attentive. The best part of all was the food. Cannot fault it! Fabulous choice and... More

Stayed in the same party as the last 2 reports. Probably the nicest hotel room I have stayed in for many a year. I had upgraded to one of their superior rooms and boy was I pleased. The whole party of around 17 people met for pre evening drinks on New Years Eve in my room that we nicknamed Buckingham... More

A gathering of the clans for four nights, including the Hogmanay celebration on Old Year's Night. At one point there were nineteen of us for dinner and overnight, and nothing was too much trouble, the staff were excellent, must mention Scott in the restaurant, boy did he work hard and as for the Chef, well he is a find, self... We stayed for four nights over Hogmanay 2014-15 and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were well appointed, welcoming and cosy, with free wifi; plenty of tea/coffee supplies, with fresh milk provided daily; and lots of good toiletries in the bathroom. The restaurant menu was interesting and the food beautifully cooked and presented by their excellent chef. They also have... More

Such a surprise to find ourselves in a jewel of a hotel near St Andrews. It was a bleak winter night when we checked in; the room was beautifully warm and welcoming, excellent super-King bed, lovely wooden floor and generous tea/coffee and toiletries. Splendid though the room was, the greatest delight was the restaurant where the food was quite wonderful,... More

Wanting to stay close to St. Andrews, where the food was excellent, parking was easy, comfortable rooms came across The Inn at Lothanes......a great find. Wonderful staff, bar/restaurant with fireplace and a terrific chef. I would recommend highly, very enjoyable at a reasonable price. Thank you Rona, Dave, Jillian and Lucy!

We stayed Friday to the Monday in room 17 which had nice views and doors on to a decking area - couldn't obviously use these in November as it was chilly !! It was the deluxe room with the mood lighting and jacuzzi bath. Spot on. We found the room comfortable and the girls cleaned the rooms daily. There where... More

Can't fault anything. Highlight was the breakfast waitress. Discreet, pleasant, efficient. Maybe they could saw an inch off the table legs so that breakfast was at least below eye level ? Altogether fantastic value.
