I have been familiar with the Stucco Lodge since the late 60's and early 70"s. Mother use to be a housekeeper there then. Many years later in 2015, my youngest daughter transfers to the University of Maine at Orono. I need a reasonable place to stay. I call the motel and talk to Andy the owner. I have never been... My dad recommended this place to us since he stays here when he visits my younger sister at the University of Maine at Orino, which was part of the reason for our trip. Our room lacked three major things that even old and outdated hotels have: a hair dryer, a coffee maker and an alarm clock. If I had known the... More

we stayed at the stucco lodge again. the first reason that they took Canadian money at par. secondly, I had talked to other people from Canada that had been staying there for years, motel to relax for a few days.Always a good review, again a quiet clean establishment. the outdoor pool was well maintained. weekly and monthly rates are also... We attempted to stay on July 14, 2015, and they would not allow us to stay because my husband has a service dog. He tried to explain that they could not discriminate and refuse accomodation because of his dog. They refused to listen, or check the rules. They became quite belligerent. Don't support this motel.

I love staying here. The prices are great, it's family owned, the owners are so friendly. The rooms are clean and large. It's 5 minutes from the Bangor Mall. It's nice and quiet. I love that they take Canadian at par. There is no other place I stay when I'm in Bangor.

an older building, average to look at outside, but a nice, quiet, clean drive up motel with very friendly owners that do everything to accommodate you and make your stay enjoyable. towels were lovely, beds were excellent. will take Canadian money at par, big,big savings. fridge and microwave in room. definitely will stay again

I lived in this motel when the Univ of Maine owned it. The Univ used it as overflow dorm rooms. It was a GREAT college experience! Now, I go there because the motel is so meticulously well maintained! The beds are new and comfortable... Accomodations are pretty industry-standard. But their prices are very low! In this case, the low price... More

I've been going to the stucco lodge on and off for 15 years now whenever I find myself going through Maine. It is always clean, and rooms have everything a person can ask for, including fridge, microwave, cable and Wifi. There is also an outdoor pool that is maintained very well that is great for parents and children alike. The... More

We stayed at this great little motel as I had a meeting the next day at the University of Maine. It is close to Bangor Mall, where we ate dinner. The motel itself is owned by a very welcoming gentleman. The room was clean and spacious, with nice furniture. The bathroom was roomy and everything was very good. The only... More
