Great value, great views of the harbour from our deck on Room 10 and service that wasn't expected for the price and in a Motel. Little things like both providing and refreshing complimentary coffee and bottled water aren't expected of a Motel in this price range. Couldn't be better located centrally in beautiful Stonington village. If you stay in one... more

Just like most of the reviews said, this is a great find. We often stay in luxury hotels so we are picky. this small hotel had everything we needed and more that you'd expect for $80 per night. Bed was very comfortable. Room had TV, wireless internet, little coffee set up, fridge, etc. Booked room with queen bed, not facing... more

Stayed at this Boyce's on September 1st. Barrett, the owner, couldn't have been nicer and the place, although not "fancy", was just great! We had a 2-bedroom apartment with a living room and small kitchen. All the details were taken care of in the kitchen and we felt very comfortable. Would highly recommend Boyce's. Note that Stonington is a very... more

Boyce's Motel, run by warm and friendly Barrett (don't know his last name), was a treat. The rooms were small (but only $100 in high season!) but absolutely immaculate. Our room (#10, I believe) was on the second floor of a detached building, up a side street right off the main drag. As a result, the views from the spacious... more

My wife and I recently stayed at Boyce's for three nights. From the outset, Barrett Gray went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. On a rainy morning, he showed up with umbrellas, in case we needed them. When we inquired about Isle Au Haut, he reserved us two bicycles for the day. His recommendations were spot... more

The hotel is situated near the harbor, and consists of motel rooms and appartments. Our room was opposite the office overlooking the street and there was some vehicle noise in the morning from 4.30am when the lobster men were commuting to work, but we knew that when we accepted the room. There is a small deck across the road overlooking... more

Its rare to find an affordable room with this kind of location, right in the heart of the village of Stonington. Usually anything this well located gets sold off, and upscaled! Fortunately, Boyces is still wonderfully old fashioned, and therefore affordable while being within walking distance of everything in the wonderful village of Stoningtone (ferry docks, Opera House, restaurants and... more

I rolled into Stonington kind of late, and was disappointed to see a No Vacancy sign at Boyce's, since they are supposed to be the least expensive place to stay in Stonington. However, they had just had a cancellation, so they gave me a room. I was pleased to see that the room had a little kitchen, complete with utensils... more

Boyce Motel is a breath of fresh air! My family stayed at Boyce's Motel the week of September 11, 2006. We had two different rooms. One a small apartment and the other a standard room. Both were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. This is not like a chain motel - even the linens provided remind you of the comforts of... more

I have spent approximately 25 nights in Stonington (on business) in the fall of 2005. Twenty-four of those nights were in Boyce's Motel; the other night was when Boyce's had no vacancy. I stayed in rooms 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10. There are 11 total rooms at Boyce's Motel (you do the math!). The rooms I stayed in were... more
