To celebrate our friend's 50th birthday we booked this house in Stonington ME for a week. Being from Atlanta we wanted to get away from the August heat.

This was the best stocked rental house I have ever stayed in. Since I like to cook (plus there aren't many options to eat out in Stonington) I had packed my knives and cutting boards, spices, oils and hoped to have atleast one good pan to work with. The kitchen was open with lots of counter space and there where several cabinets of pots, pans, grill pans, broiler pans, baking dishes to work with. It was better equipped than my kitchen at home. I was glad to have my own knives and a wooden cutting board.

Same with the bathrooms, laundry room even had soap in it. The master bedroom was huge with several sitting areas and a little deck out back.

The bathrooms were strange and one was also the hallway to the master which made it difficult when someone needed ot get by. But for a 100+ year old house it had... more
