The room was a good size, with a separate en suite (bath only) plenty of hot water and clean towels. Large comfortable bed, sofa, tv, tea/coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. In the landlady even dropped us off at the vineyard that we were there to visit. The restaurant was good quality at a reasonable cost, the... More

My wife and I have just returned from The Frog having spent two wonderful nights in the accommodation above the pub. The location is beautiful surrounded by lovely countryside. The entire staff were extremely polite and friendly being expertly led by Calum. Our room was clean and functional using this as a base to visit Henley, Marlow and Chiltern Valley... More

We would have had a more comfortable stay with more friendly staff at a campsite for a fraction of the price. Having to wash your hair in your bath water as no shower or even shower attachment for a friends birthday when you pay £90 a night is not acceptable in our eyes. Never had this problem in a hotel... Stopped here for the first time. Really good food complemented by and excellent local wine (Chiltern Valley). Comfortable room with stunning views both front and back of the valley. Breakfast continued with the high standards set the previous evening. Well worth a stay and definitely helped celebrate our wedding anniversary in fine style. We'll be back, no doubt.

We went on St. Georges night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good selection of beers and wines and an excellent menu. We chose the prawns with a chilli sauce for starters and calves liver for mains. Both were cooked very well and had great taste. The service was very good. The dining area where we eat seemed to lack atmosphere and... More

We have been to the Frog as few times and is a special place for us as we had our first date and our engagement meal here. The food has always been good. My wife has the pigeon to start and I had the eggs benedict, the pigeon was tough due to it being over cooked but the eggs benedict... More

Miserable staff, unwelcoming, cold dining area, cliquey & dismissive attitudes abound. In it's defense, the food was very good. Try instead the Chequers in Fingest or The Bull & Butcher in Turville, where you might be welcomed as a customer, not an annoyance.

Arrived very late- 10.15. Kitchen was closed but we had booked dinner beforehand. Staff were very accommodating. Very cosy bar with log fire. Pub is in a secluded village in a beautiful valley. Bedroom was nice but a bit strange. The sink was in the bedroom not in the ensure bathroom. The shower was an old fashioned electric one. We... More
