We stayed at three B & B's on our trip to Maine and Concord, MA and this was our favorite overall. Unique rooms with awesome balconies for viewing the harbor and sunrises. Breakfasts were first class delicious and unique. The rooms had everything you need, even a pair of binoculars. We stayed in the turret room, the only problem was... more

We just returned from a 3-night stay at the Kingsleigh and are still talking about the wonderful experience! The hosts and staff were so attentive to every detail. The raves about the breakfasts and afternoon snacks were entirely well-founded; the rooms were lovely and very comfortable; and we felt encouraged to truly use the inn as a "home away from... more

This is a wonderful bnb and it's a place you hate to leave. You are made to feel at home. The food is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are nice and quite. It's obvious that Rick & Jane(inn keepers) love having guests in their home and love what they do!!! We will definitely stay here again! more

We just returned from a wonderful three night stay at the Kingsleigh Inn. I can't say enough about Rick and Jane! Rick was a wonderful host offering information about the area, restaurants, hiking and even where to see a great sunset. Jane's breakfasts were out of this world delicious! Every morning brought something new...3 courses of terrific food. When we... more

A few years ago, a friend of mine who traveled a lot in Maine told me not to go to Bar Harbor, go to Bass Harbor. We took his advice, and although Kingsleigh Inn isn't in Bass Harbor, it is on the opposite side of Mt. Desert Island from Bar Harbor in a much quieter area, in a town called... more

Registration and response before our trip was everything that I would expect. Quick and helpfull responses. We needed to spend and extra night in the area on Labor Day and there was no room left at the Inn, yet they found us a comperable B&B for us with only a couple of days until the holiday. The day that we... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kingsleigh Inn. The innkeepers Rick and Jane were very warm and helpful. Their tips for eating and sightseeing were very good and the breakfasts and afternoon snacks were excellent. Our room (one of the less expensive offerings) was large and very comfortable. The only drawback was the small stall shower. The inn is... more

We echo all the praises of previous reviews. Exceptional hosts exceeded any expectation. Guidebook to local area was invaluable. Treats were delicious, great coffee, port, and breakfasts phenomenal! Great base for Acadia NP exploration, and away from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Wonderful place to unwind. Thanks for a great stay. more

The Kingsleigh Inn lived up to their quote," We want to exceed your expectations." They did so with their lovely rooms with panoramic views of Southwest Harbor, their graciousness as Innkeepers and certainly with their extarordinary gourmet breakfasts and treats made by Jane and Rick. We spent 2 nights in the Abbott room and 1 night in the "turret suite"... more

My girlfriend and I just returned from a long weekend up in Southwest Harbor. For the duration of our trip we stayed in the Turret Suite of the Kingsleigh Inn. The Inn is absolutely beautiful and the suite was amazing. Somehow both spacious and cozy, we thoroughly enjoyed having our own deck, living room and the telescope sitting room. The... more
